ummm. It is almost the full version. The paid version has these benefits:

Purchase benefits: lifetime free upgrade and support latest DVDs.

What do you mean by "latest DVD's" Rep ?

Anyway, download first, ask questions later :D

  • People still use DVD's?

Yeah, for making copies of things like WinX DVD Copy Pro!!!

  • Timely.

I went to use the one from the Nov 2013 offer (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/124330) for the first time yesterday and it told me I needed a new licence (something about there being leaked copies on the web and so they had disabled existing versions??)

    • An update.

Tried this on a couple of my kid's videos (useful for turning DVDs into mpegs that can then be shown on an old car GPS). It worked on one OK, but on the Dora video it crashed with a C++ runtime library Assertion Failed! error.

  • Just use Freemake Video Converter. Excellent free product. Beware that it comes with Open candy toolbar Crapware by default if you click every option during installation. Just opt out on every option on installation and you will be sorted.

  • any free mac version?

    • WinX DVD Copy Pro does not have a mac version at present.

  • Downloaded this to back up my Futurama DVD's - figured it might be simpler then ripping episodes via DVDshrink and Handbreak … Dam thing doesn't work .. when I went to rip a single chapter to mpeg ( an episode from disc quick and simple right?) I had to quit it after it had not progressed from 0% complete but had reportedly copied 4GB of data to my HDD. Then I just decided to do the whole disc which seemed to work - but the MPeg was scrambled like it hadn't decrypted the disc even though I know my Drive was set to USA … maybe this is what this version does unless you pay for it.

I'm back to using the trusted and working methods - that truly are free.

    • Hello Elijha, it was probably because your DVD disc was scratched. You can email to [email protected] for more support regarding product problems. Thank you.

      • The disc was not scratched other software had no issues.

  • There's always DVDShrink

    • DVDShrink was by far the best thing going around at the time. But from memory the programmers sold the rights after 3.2.0.15, so no more support or updates since then!
The site says it was last updated in May 2013, but I highly doubt it as 3.2.0.14 was released back in 2004! And if it was updated they'd have used a different version number!

I haven't played around with it much in years but I know it started coming up with errors. I can't remember if it worked on Vista but don't think it's compatible with either Win7 or recent encoding!

      • Works on win 7 OK. But yeah must have some issues disc 6 of my futurama won't copy. First 6 were fine though… Getting through them slowly
