Mario Kart 8 Preorder from Games Men (Sydney) for $64 pickup or add $4.90 for postage. Keep in mind they say they ship 1 day before release and the game is released on a Saturday, so you won't get your order to the following Monday if you are having it delivered.

          I am a huge nintendo fan. I have spent thousands of dollars on nintendo figures/statues. Nintendo limited editions are usually actually limited. I bought the ocarina edition from eb for ocarina of time and if you go on ebay it is now selling for $500-$1000! I did not pre-order link between worlds and missed out on that mini chest which again is selling for $100 plus. This is why I pre-order their limited items the day I hear about them as $30 is nothing compared to what I would have to pay later. I am sure many people could not care less about a piece of plastic but to each their own :)

          The ocarina isn't selling for that. It has listings at that price, but i can't see any sold listings (only ones for $160+ that haven't sold)

          I have seen a bunch sell for $150. They changed the price to $250 plus and more sold. Now the prices are getting crazy. Not saying they selling for $500+ but that is the listings because it was an EB Australia exclusive. The fact they have sold for $250 plus and I paid $59 is the point I was trying to make :)

      Gamesmen is local retailer and have store front
      they are not like those online shops that sell overseas version of game

        Yes they are local but from experience they sell both local and imported products. You'll have to ask to see which version they offer. I bought a UK Zelda and NHL game from them last month.

    People here is something to think about. Nintendo are having a deal where if you buy Super Mario Kart from the eShop for $10.50 by 30/06/2014 you will get $10.40 off MK8 ($79.95 rrp) when it is released on 31/05/2014.

    You might think this is a raw deal however if you have a Wii U Premium pack don't forget you are enrolled in Nintendo Network Premium which will net you 542 points for your SMK and MK8 purchases. 500 points = $7 credit on the eShop so essentially you are paying $72.95 for SMK, MK8 and whichever other content you want to spend your $7 eShop credit on. You also have the luxury of not having to change discs when you want to play other games.

    Might not be as good a deal if you don't want both games but if you have a Wii U Premium and intending to pay the $79.95 retail as mentioned in the post I would strongly suggest you buy from the eShop.
