Correct me if I am wrong you promote bundle 3 as having wifi+BT. However bundle 2 should have that thrown in for free anyway.

So the distinguishing features between 2 and 3 is really only the HDD.

    Edit: It seems it would be $4 cheaper if you buy bundle 2 and then simply buy the 750gb WD blue separately;
    http://www.cplonline.com.au/wd-2-5-750gb-sataii-5400rpm-6gb-…

Considering the drive seems to be around from PC Case Gear and Scorptec for around $69. I would have thought the bundle price would be $265 or under

    • $4 different is for wifi + BT lol…

    • Hi kearnsy,

Only the bundle 3 has the Wifi/BT card, the other two don't.

      • Bundle 2 features include: Intel® Wireless-N 7260BN pre-installed, including wireless antennas
        (IEEE 802.11bgn, Bluetooth* 4.0, Intel® Wireless Display built-in)

So does it still have Wifi/BT just not the additional card like bundle 3?

        • Sorry, it was a typo. It doesn't have the 7260 card in bundle 1 and 2.

        • Yeah it's funny how CPL's own website states that the $199 bundle has a 7260BN card already installed!

        • A typo or a copy paste? Intel's site seems to imply the DN2820FYKH0 model comes standard with the 7260BN wifi card?!

why wouldnt u just by microserver ?

    • +5
      1. Microserver is more expensive

      2. Microserver doesn't have HDMI / USB3.0 out of the box

      3. You can't mount the Microserver to the monitor

      • can u do a deal for option c, i dont need bluetooth

        • Hi ravzter,

No unfortunately, it can be only sold as is.

  • +5

If you buy this you will need to pay either through bank transfer or go into store today, no paypall/CC online. You will need to do this before they confirm they have the stock for you, so good luck if you need a refund because they ran out. I personally always run a mile when the vendor isn't able to offer paypal or CC online, eevn if it adds $1-2 in fees.

So is the wifi-bt being removed by CPL (for bundle 2) or is that the way they come from the distributors?

    The Intel spec, states they come with the card (7260BN)as standard;
    http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/nuc/nuc-board-dn2820f…

    • In theory, it should come with one, that little card is bundled in other bundles like mwave one earlier this month.
That port is useless since it can't put a msata ssd.

    • This is the way it comes from the disties. It will be shipped in the sealed original box, CPL will not take anything out of the original box.

  • +2

This is the just works version of the device, it has only no msata slot but it works with a conventional hard drive of 2.5 inch type

The CPU is on par with most win8 entry level tablets of 2014.
Good enough for to do most web task and office.

The ram is 1.35 which is the new lower power standard makes all notebook ddr 3 before untrabooks useless.
And it only has one slot

The corei 3 i5 version of these box with h suffix is the ideal system where it allow user to build a dual disk system complete with msata ssd and conventional or 2.5 inch ssd.

Can't confirm if this model has audio jack which previous gen missing.

I own a last gen i3 red box that has only msata but allow the 1.5v ddr ram.

    • Should have a back panel headphone/microphone jack

      • yeah I believe it is on the opposite end of the same side where the power adaptor is plugged.

        • For the core i models it is in the front panel side on the right where the black ir receiver area is

          Google pic should show that.

  • Do they come with a windows licence.
Under additional features they have this listed:
    Windows* 8.1 and 8 Logo

    • No, it is the hardware only.

Cheapest media center PC.. Rep can you do any deals for the i3 or i5 version?? thanks

    • Thanks for the update CPL!

  • +1

Getting refund from them, from my experience, is impossible!

  • +1

    Not sure if this was done deliberately but the original post had, yet now it has been removed sneekily;

"No coupon code necessary, $10 flat shipping via AusPost"

Yet when I add my postcode the estimated delivery is $32.80

  • +3

Will not neg but no CC or no PayPal means no deal.

  • Is this powerful enough to play full hd videos with xbmc or windows 8?

  • And what do you mean by payment today because bank transfers are not instant and take 2 to 3 days to get to you anyway.I'm at work and can't pay for this right this instant.if I do it after 5 is that ok, it's still "today"and you still won't get it for another 2-3 days like if I did it now.

    • As long as you make the payment today and send us the screenshot of the payment, it will be fine.

  • Is it possible to change bundle 3 to 1TB HDD ? please PM the price

    • Hi unicorn,

I am afraid we can't make any change on the deal.

  • I bought one from mwave when they had their similar deal and love it.
FYI though anyone who is planning on installing W8.1 32bit on it, the Wifi drivers don't work with it yet. Not an issue if using LAN.

    • +2

      W8.1 64bit is fine though (and I don't know why you'd want 32bit).

  • HI everyone, just wondering if this one with celeron is good enough for FULL HD and online video streaming, p2p downloading?
I am planning to get one for my TV, i3/i5 version seems a little bit pricy

  • +3

I have seen so many deals on the celeron version. any chance of a deal on the i3 or i5?

    • +1 mate.

    • Probably clearing out stock before Chromeboxes start arriving..

      • do you know if i can put windows on a chromebox? technically i dont see why not. its the same hardware

        • Apparently you can chuck it into 'developer mode' and you should be able to do what you want with it, but I haven't seen anything definitive yet. As you say, can't see why not..

  • Can rep please explain why the flat $10 freight was removed from the deal?

    • dont know about you, by when i put in my postcode(NSW) i got an option for Fastway $8

      • $40 using Fastway to my location

    • It was a mistake and we removed it right after we posted the deal.

  • So to clear things up, does all 3 deals come with BT wireless ?

    • Yes.

  • Do i have to do anything special other than order it and pickup today?
    Have stock in West Melbourne?

    • You can order it, pay it today and pickup anytime in the next 7 days.

      • Ok, done. Thanks!

  • “In Store Pickup (ID of the payer required on pickup)”
If I wanted to purchase and get a friend to pick it up for me is this possible? Can they just provide invoice as ID?

    • +1

It is possible. All we need is the invoice and an ID of the pickup person.

  • Shipping (to SA) kills every ozbargain deal that is ever posted by CPL

    • +1

that's due to the transfer from truck to horseback at the border

  • Anyone picked up their order? Haven't got a text, as they promised, to notify me of pickup. Have paid and sent screenshot too, they have confirmed payment…
