Rumours that the iPad 4 will soon return to replace the iPad 2

    • +5

It already has, check Apple store online. Ipad 4 was listed as $479 but apple has pulled pricing and listing as $529 elsewhere on site.

    • correcto, iPad Retina is $449.

      Thanks, change to RRP price.

      • BIGW: $388, JBHIFI: $417, Harvey Norman: $376, Dick Smitch: $377

FYI, All these prices will be slashed/dropped in the next few days since it has been discontinued. Prob Officeworks too. I wouldn't be surprised if ipad 2 come down below $350

          And $375@Target

        • News for you- they already have dropped- used to be ~$450.

Actually you can. $319 direct from Apple for a 'refurb' (which is most likely just clearance stock). Making this a particularly bad deal even if you want an iPad 2.

Fun Fact: The Ipad 2 was released in AU on March 25, 2011, so that means it will be celebrating it's 3rd birthday in just a few days.

        • It can celebrate it with the iPad and the new iPad now (not to be confused with the new iPad with Retina (not to be confused by the iPad Air either (and I'm sure nobody is confused by the iPad Mini or the iPad Mini with Retina - I just threw those in there for the sake of 1's and 0's))).
Oh, did I mention revision numbers?

        • Actually, this particular updated iPad2 model was released around March 2012!

        • I thought it was all about the logo?

        • You can buy the logo on eBay for a buck.
Though I've never understood what people do with these stickers… Hackintosh phone, perhaps?

        • would rather buy an real apple and have a bite with it……. :-P

    • You forgot to add '3 gen old'

Limit 1 per customer. Personally I'd be letting people grab every last one of them!

    • For those that aren't up to date with tech, Limit one per customer makes them think it must be a good deal.

      • you must also artificially restrict supply (no online purchases) so that customers will flock to your store to buy your remainder 5 iPads, and hopefully nobody will complain that they had to go home empty handed after lining up outside your store for 30 minutes in the morning.

        • +1

Anyone who lines up for a three year old iPad at this price needs their head read.

        • hmmm, lol people still buy last gen brandnew Intels even 3 years after a new-chipset is released. Especially true with laptops.

        • +1

Because it is sold to people that have no idea what is inside and exactly the same with iPad 2.

I know people that thought he got a good deal from buying a past 2 generation laptop for full price after $100 off.

  • CentreCom are scum. Read some online reviews before you buy from them.

    • Disagree..had nothing but positive experiences when I have shopped with them and unlike most places the staff are knowledgable and will spend time with you getting you the best item for your needs.
