Hi Folks,

I just bought a copy of Sygic for Australia, and one of their "deals" is that you get a 25% off discount code at the end of the transaction. With the current exchange rate, it works out to about $30 with the discount code, rather than $41…

Hope that it helps someone out - I've tried a heap of free, and "evaluation" copies of various navigation apps on Android, and find that Sygic is by far the best I've used.

Disclaimer: if you buy a copy using this discount code, they will give me 12 months worth of "Live Traffic" at no cost to me…

    Sygic is great. But I thought it's always been free on Android?!
    I have got it on my android phone….used it occasionally in past 2 years. Dont remember paying for it.
    OR DID I DOWNLOAD A CRACKED VERSION?

    There are free options as city2maps . It's a good app but I don't think I would pay 30 for it. You can always use the free trial or city2maps for offline navigation. But I think that goggle navigation now supports offline maps.

      Google Maps requires an internet connection to calculate routes. Sygic does not. So it is not better, nor is it just as good.
      If you don't believe me, download local maps for offline use, turn data off, and ask Google maps to calculate a route for you.

        city2maps is free and offline maps. Usually when you travel overseas you buy a locak simcard with data, either for your phone or for another tethering device.
