  • How does it compare quality with this

It's a cheap hose made in China, mate. Depends on what you mean by 'quality'. My guess is that they're very comparable in terms of longevity, if that's your idea of 'quality'. If you're after a hose to last a lifetime living in 40 degree heat, look elsewhere. Anyone spending $6 on a hose is buying it because it's cheap for light use. I own the Bunnings one and it works fine. Water travels from one end to the other without leaking in between. I've had it for a year.

i mean, they work. they are worth $5 but certainly not a "good" hose. oh and good luck in winter when its cold. they turn slightly harder than actual granite…

I have used both. I think they are the same. I wouldn't be surprised if they are exactly the same. They do the job, but get kinks quite easily. They last about 2-3 years. I'm too cheap for quality hoses.

Aren't they always this price? I bought one maybe 6 months ago for this price. It's not a 'deal' or a 'special', as such. Just a cheap hose they sell every day of the week. This should be a forum post and not a 'deal'.

    • yup i think i paid about this for a couple (yea yea… i was desperate) about 12-18 months ago.

this one time at band camp…..

        • hey - that reminds me of a kinky story!

If only I could recoil it properly.

But I'm not going to tell the story all at once. I'm going to drip feed it to you.

  • I bought 3 of these about 6 months back. I have no complaints at all. - They aren't the best hose fitting ever - but I'm still using them and they are still working fine (I use all 3 nearly every day). The trigger it comes with was a bit harsh for some seedlings and pot plants so have changed two of them where I needed too.

  • I also purchased a number of these. I then cut them up into the sizes I required and put the cheap ends on them. If you need to make adapters, this ends up saving a bunch of money. when I needed to connect soaker hoses to a two-way adapter, it needed a hose in between, didn't want to put a long hose on, but didn't want to pay whatever ridiculous price they had on their little short hoses, so I made my own!

  • i bought one of these and had to return after the first time i used it. i would fly off the tap and the nozzle. got a pope and been alright since.

    • Those popes sure come in handy

  • Isn't this the normal price? I don't think it's a bargain. I got one months ago for the same price. It's shit, but it does the job.
