      even back then it was fastest*…it auto exposure to obtain 12fps

      it only has a true burst speed (ie with full control) of 8fps.

      Good price for what is still a good camerap, but be prepared for sub par (2014 standard) ISO performance and to shell out for good lenses (24mp is cruel)

    I will wait for the A77 successor. According to sonyalpharumors.com, "Sony A77 successor will be announced in early May and is supposed to have a terrific AF speed. It will hit the stores in June."

      I got this cam, not bad over all, very advanced even today in feature set, but low light performance is lacking by todays standard. Anything up to 1600 iso is excellent, 3200 passable. so a powerful flash gun is recommended to compensate light under 3200 iso.
      great photos with enough light, 24 mega pixel gives a lot of detail.

      best all in one lens is 16-80 ZA that may cost 800 to 1200 depend on source.

    Have the predecessor a55. Good camera.
    Does a great job and the a77 at this price is a sweet deal.

    Just remember that: You'll probably never really need that vert grip and you'll have to shell out for a lens.

      That was a very hidden nasty little surprise. Right down the bottom of the detailed specifications.

      You will have a case for them to refund your money. Any important terms and conditions cannot be hidden right down the bottom like that.

    Just got mine. I can confirm there is zero damage to the boxes. They are 100% perfect.

      I was sure that note wasn't there when I posted the deal. They may have had some non damaged stock at the start and then changed it later.
