My BMW 3 series is a piece of junk too, but I bought it for $500, and it's missing an engine.

well i bought mine brand new and it cost me about $700. i certainly regret my decision to buy the electrolux now. maybe you might have better luck.

    • Don't know why the negs, what you've said is 100% true. Electrolux are possible the worst quality large appliances (talking washing machines, fridges etc). They are horrible and if you have one that doesn't break down in the first 12 months then you should also buy a lotto ticket. Weird thing is they charge a premium for their products selling on a 'quasi-Euro' approach and it works. Loads of suckers out there I suppose.

      • I can sympathise with this as I had an LG dishwasher and it was bad - dirty dishes despite excessive water use and recurring error codes.

My Electrolux EBE5100SD Fridge Rocks.. Efficient, quiet and sleek minimal design

  • My electrolux front loader is awesome. Haven't had any dramas been 4 months and still going strong, washes fantastic.

The Electrolux group are pretty big and I've always found them fine with reliability. Keep in mind:

Electrolux is Australasia's leading household appliances company and markets its products under the Westinghouse, Electrolux, AEG, Simpson, Chef and Dishlex brands.

You've probably owned or used an Electrolux appliance in the past without issue. Their popularity might be why you hear of more issues than other brands (although I've not seen/heard consistent issues with them).

  • I believe they are Australian made products as well.

Parents have had a Westinghouse fridge for 15+ years and it's still going strong. Pretty reliable, not many issues at all.

Just recently bought an Electrolux fridge based off Westinghouse's reliability.

  • just got my fridge a week ago. yes still australian made. until 2015 at least
