    • i use to think like that.. but, you need to add labour and the 2 year warranty, sure there is warranty on the parts anyways, but this is 2 years, and u just take the machine back to them if u want to claim.

it also save u the hassle of assembly and risk of short circuit etc. but i guess most ppl are pro at this type of assembly stuff, and if you are, than this spec machine is probably not what you're looking for.

Used to think like what? As his post clearly shows, this is a deal, even just on the parts alone, let alone assembly, warranty, etc.

  • I have been looking for a budget desktop to use as an all-rounder.
Anyone care to comment on whether this would be suitable or offer any other guidance?
    Thanks.

    • All rounder = web, study, work, games?

Ideally I'd spend a bit more on the GPU for better game performance, but it'll run new games nicely enough (just not on max settings for the more intensive ones like BF4 - it's similar in power to the PS4 GPU).

I think it's a pretty decent build for this price, I'd say yes unless you want to spend quite a bit more time researching and build it yourself (always recommended if your at all technologically inclined).
