MEElectronics Atlas IML Graphics Headphone with Headset Functionality - USD $54.99 + $12 Postage

90
THENEXTHEADPHONE

Dear OzBargainers,

This weekend we have a promotion for our flagship headphone, the Atlas, at $54.99 plus postage ($45 off). This is the best price we've ever offered on the Atlas headphone.

The Atlas is my personal favorite MEElectronics product - I think it sounds great and has very unique designs. You can see all of the designs here; my favorites are the Orion, Fantasy, and Diamond. The sound signature is akin to our M-series earphones (such as the M6 and M-Duo) but the sound quality is better, with more balance and clarity, and a wider soundstage.

Features of the Atlas include:

  • 40mm drivers tuned to produce deep, impactful bass while maintaining clarity across the rest of the spectrum
  • Use of in-mold labeling (IML) technology to create uniquely striking high-contrast graphics that are resistant to scratches and won’t fade over time
  • Ear cushions designed for comfort and vented to keep your ears cooler during long listening sessions
  • Tangle-resistant detachable cable with built-in mic, remote, and universal volume control (see our mic/remote info page for remote compatibility info).

Use coupon code "THENEXTHEADPHONE" at checkout for the discount. All prices in USD. Limit 2 per order. Offer expires April 2nd, 2014 at midnight PST.

The same coupon code also gives an additional $2.95 credit towards shipping. This covers US postage cost for those using forwarding services. For international postage this will just discount the total by an additional $2.95. Standard 1st class postage to Australia will be $12 after the $2.95 discount and does not change whether you order one or two units.

Delivery times vary but are typically between 10 and 20 business days for the standard shipping method. If you need to hit a specific delivery date, we recommend using FedEx shipping, which typically delivers in just a few days.

The Atlas is our most highly-acclaimed headphone, receiving excellent feedback and reviews including:

It looks awesome but got way too many headphones :(

  • Any deal on in-ear headphones?

    • +2

There was one on the M-Duo model a couple of weeks ago. I can still price match it if you send me a private message or email.

      • I sent you PM with my email. It would be great if you are able to price match your earlier deal.
        Thanks

        • Done.

Do you have to have smeared eyeliner and wear half a plastic cricket helmet to enjoy them?

    • It's a good deal, just having a bit of fun.

    • +5

      I do but it's not a requirement.

haha well played, btw, still enjoying my in-ear headphones I got from you guys a 1 year or so ago. great headphones to go along with all my others!

        • Glad to hear that :)

      • do you know what cricket is Mike?

        • I have a vague idea.

  • shame they dont rotate inwards, hate hanging headphones around my neck which restrict my head like a neck brace

  • Thanks rep. I enjoy your company's products (bought few M9 and M6 from last deals as personal use and gifts).
But just curious, do you plan to launch more over-ear products? I saw there are 2 bluetooth headphones, but in general, wireless SQ won't be good as wired. Or do you think the market is already too saturated for below $200 over-ear headphone?

    • +2

Good question. Yes, there are already some very good wired over-ear headphones that are so cheap we simply wouldn't be able to compete (one or two in particular come to mind). For full-size headphones that are used at home nothing matters as much as sound quality (in my opinion, of course) and that's a tough battle ground.

We also do genuinely think that Bluetooth headphones can finally sound as good as wired ones - if not now, then in the very near future. They just need to be designed properly. There used to be more limitations but modern smartphones default to high-quality wireless streaming and some even support aptX for wireless audio that (in theory at least) is CD-quality. Our new Matrix2 finally sounds as good via bluetooth as it does wired (it can be used both ways) and is a better value proposition than if it could only be with a cable.

  • it's times like these I wish I was a headphone hoarder. but i'm not. nice work mike on your posts.

  • USPS International First Class option coming up as $20.95 for me.

    • Should be 14.95 before coupon. I just reset the shipping rates - could you give it another try?

      • Hi, I've just realised that a couple of weeks ago, before I ordered this Atlas deal, USPS International First Class shipping was $8.95 for the Atlas, during the deal it went up to $14.95, and now that it's over it's gone back down to $8.95 again. Is there a reason for this? Doesn't seem very fair…

        • The Atlas is much heavier than our earphones, which are what normally ships for $8.95. International shipping was adjusted for the duration of the deal to $14.95 as noted in the post at the top, which is a little less than actual international shipping cost for this model. When the Atlas sells at full price like it does now, we can just absorb the extra shipping cost.

        • Thanks for the reply. It's just that it's effectively $41.95 off the normal price, not $45 as stated in the post, if you just increase the shipping price during the deal. After all, it doesn’t really matter to the customer if the changes are coming from the product price or the shipping price – they’re just paying the total.
