I highly recommend this MMO to people who aren't intellectually stunted, and people averse to WoW.

"The Secret World: Massive Edition features the entire main game as well as hours of content-filled DLCs and a full set of excellent beginner weapons and boosts in one complete package!

Get a flying start into The Secret World, a deep and dark Massively Multiplayer Online Game with an incredible story, innovative content and free form character development, with this great deal.

The Massive Edition includes Issue #5, #6 and #7 plus nine starter weapons, five XP potions and a three day long Ability Point boost. The regular price for all the extra content and items pluss the full game is more than €90! Claim the items included in this Massive Edition in the in-game Item Shop."

If you want just the base game, it can be had for $10: http://store.steampowered.com/app/215280/?snr=1_5_9__300
However, the XP and stat boosts are good at the start of the game. If you stray onto the beach area too early, you'll understand what I mean.

1 question, is this MMO pay to win?

I highly recommend this MMO to people who aren't intellectually stunted, and people averse to WoW.

    Sold.

  • Do people still play this . I thought they moved on to sw2.

  • It's decent enough, but….
I finished the storyline content of the main game in a single weekend, probably 20 hours playtime.
This was before any of the expansions (or issues as they call them)
And that was WITH doing the dungeons for each area a couple of times.
Endgame content at the time i played it was pretty much the same dungeons but on harder and harder modes.
As for the pay to win, there really is no win, but yeh, you can buy xp boosters to level faster, just clothes and pets other than that.

If you are planning on using amd cards in crossfire to play it, forget it, it's seriously broken in that regard.

Having said that, it IS different, the puzzles are good, being able to build a character any way you want is cool, and it has bags of atmosphere and a great story.
