This is a nice looking model but I have seen the i3 which is identical (except for the CPU) version for <$500
Here are the specs which are not worth anywhere near the price

So I guess I can send the unit to you for a CPU replacement then?

I'm just stating that it's not worth the price, the CPU (an i7) is not matched with the rest of the machine
- 4GB of RAM
- 720p Display
- Basic Intel Graphics
This is better suited for a more budget Intel chip

You realise the intel graphics are a part of the chip, right?
You dont need more than 4GB of RAM realisticly
Above 720p isn't noticed by most people, although it could save power??? I dont know.

Here, I saw it at David Jones and took a picture the other day because thought it looked OK;

2nd gen i3….
Definitely not worth it for $599

A moment ago you said it was <$500.

Pretty sure this model from dicksmith would be a better deal, but at this price there are better devices

Has the prices of laptops gone up? I bought a previous generation variant of this laptop (L850; i7 3610QM, HD7650 graphics, 12GB ram) for $700 2 years ago.

Has the prices of laptops gone up?
Sure has… mainly due to the dive in the AUD

Yes they have. Ausy $ is lower, you can imagine the rest.

Just picked up the c50 3rd gen i3 from MSY for $580. Love it so far.

This seems expensive.

I got this from costco for $559. Hp with 3rd gen i3 3110m 4 gb ram 500 gb hdd.
