I bought one 2 days ago when it was $45 on DS ebay store! Could I get a refund?

  • The issue is there should be a limits of X number per person to make it a fair go.
even other online only stores has such policy to avoid some ebay junkie grab 10 to 20 in one go.

  • Thanks OP. It's a little annoying that the 12-4 sale refers to eastern time not western time. Some of us Perthies get caught out with those limited time sales.

    • But you get the same number of sale hours, don't you? :)

      • Just at different times than you :P

        • Don't worry mate, they might sell the black version for $10 next week. You never know what DS will do the next minute.

        • +1

Don't worry, you saved ~$25. I wasted $25… pretty sure I will be regretting yet another impulsive OZB purchase. Actually, already starting to regret it.

It's not too late to cancel your order on Monday morning since they won't ship before two working days!

        • Makes their Curtains fade more too.

        • +1

          I cancelled.

        • Surely you'd be awake between 9am-1pm on a Saturday?

  • +6

I bought one to use on public transport, I have a really good music collection that everyone will appreciate me sharing with them.

  • How to cancel?

    • Phone and wait to see if they answer our not.

    • Send them a message through their site.

      Include order number.

Bought one and will likely give it away as a prize when I launch an audio related app a little later in the year. Thanks op.

    • So judging by the neg on my comment I take it someone reckons this is not a good prize to giveaway? Its for a children's storybook related app so I personally think it would be ideal, but would like to hear feedback if someone thinks differently.

Ignore ass hats and move on dude.

        • Will do and thanks for the backup. Likely just somebody trolling but would have been nice to hear what they had to say just in case it was valid.

  • My order has been shipped so fast, but the consigment number doesn't seem to work. Anyone know how long will it takes to deliver to Sydney via startrack courier?

    • relax consignment number take a day to show up but you might already receive your item tomorow

  • received mine this morning

  • Received mine this morning too, was quite surprised I got it today considering the last time I ordered from DSE it took 4 days.

The speaker itself is as expected lacks bass and it sure is tiny but looks quite sleek imo,its quite loud and I dont mean just for its size. Would I buy this from Sony's batshit crazy original price of $80-100? Hell no!!!! But for $25 including delivery Im quite happy with that. Wished I bought two now though :(

  • Received mine too. The quality is pretty good for the size of a tennis ball.

I'm glad I brought 5. Great for present.

  • i wish it is pink!
i wish i bought two for present :(

    Mine came in yesterday.
Sound quality is quite poor, not much better than your speaker on tablet or phone.
The one thing it has, is that it has enough volume, and I will probably be using it to listen to podcasts while I do the laundry… Sound is very poor though.

edit: also it is mono. not even stereo. the two channels get merged into one. horrible for music

    • i think you get used to 7.1 channels yamaha amplifier sound system playing blueray musics:)
it is alright for the size…

  • Had my first hiccup with the speakers, it refused to pair with my phone and when it did it was only for voice rather than voice and music. Not sure what the issue was but seems to work fine now, sigh..
    Not an old phone either

  • Can't pair to my Ipad. Anyone know why?

    • Is the blue light coming on at the underside of the speaker when you attempt to pair? Is it flashing or solid lit? iPad also does not have inbuilt NFC so you need to pair manually via your bluetooth settings on the iPad. You may also need to hold the switch to the right for more than 2 secs to enter pairing mode:

How do I pair and connect my speaker with a Bluetooth™ device?
To pair and connect the speaker with a Bluetooth™ device

Place the Bluetooth™ device within 1 m (3.3 feet) of the speaker.
Speaker: Turn on the speaker. The blue indicator flashes fast when the speaker enters pairing mode.
Bluetooth™ device: Search for available Bluetooth™ devices and select “SRS-BTV5”. If a passcode is required, enter “0000″.
Bluetooth™ device: Connect to the speaker.
Note: To pair and connect with another device, turn off the speaker, and then slide and hold the switch to the PAIRING side for about 2 seconds to enter pairing mode.

      • I can easily connect to my IPhone, nut not IPad. On tie package box, it said only for apple and android phone. iPad seems not able to find the speaker. Your one is working?

        • I have only tested it briefly to make sure the device works however my findings are that if you have already connected it to your iPhone prior to attempting connection to the iPad then it will hide the device from your iPad (I guess this is because no pass code is required and prevents other unauthorised devices from connecting to it as it doesnt broadcast its device name unless in pairing mode or upon first use only).

To unhide it from the iPad you need to first turn off the speaker, then turn it back on and keep the switch held to the right for 2 or more seconds, this will then enter pairing mode and you should then see it appear in the list of available bluetooth devices in your iPad's bluetooth settings menu. Once you have paired with your iPad you will then have access to it from both your iPhone and iPad but not at the same time.

Make sure that your iPhone isnt already connected to it via bluetooth when you are attempting to connect to the iPad.

I think the reset hole will likely set it back to default mode so that it will forget previously connected devices and broadcast its device name AND automatically enter pairing mode the first time you turn it on after the hard reset. Once its connected to one device it will only broadcast device name after entering pairing mode manually.

        • thanks a lot. It works for Ipad now.

        • Glad to hear you got it working.

  • Got mine today. Worked with my note 3 via nfc. One tap = connected. The sound is okay for it's size. Pretty much zero bass, good volume, okay mids and highs.

Worth $20, not the rrp .

    • NFC on my 1520 works by hovering over the top of the speakers rather than tapping it, strange but works for me lol. Deleted the device from phone, restarted phone and re-paired them again seemed to have fixed the pairing issue I had

  • anyone wants to sell one. Please let me know.

  • I couldn't get this to work on my new galaxy s5 phone. It can't detect the speaker while scanning.

Did you turn it onto pairing mode? Hold power button across to the right.

      • Did you turn it onto pairing mode? Hold power button across to the right.

With my other Android phone I didn't need to hold down the pairing button.

Got it to work after following your instruction.

        Thanks for your help!!

        • +1

That's because it automatically goes into non discoverable mode after the first time you pair with a device (likely designed to prevent other unknown devices connecting to it without you wanting them to, as in an office situation for instance). When its first out of the box they make it easy to setup initially as it is automatically in discoverable pairing mode, then it drops back to hidden after that. This seems to confuse a few buyers but I can see why they designed it that way.

        • That make sense and thanks for the information!
