Is this a bargain? There are loads of gardening gloves at bunnings at or below $7. Even the Riggers 100% leather gloves are only $7.97 at Bunnings.

      Is this a bargain?

Nope, but the Aldi impulse buy army will flood it with pos votes shortly :)

I've used a couple pairs of these and am happy with them at that price point.
    - Reasonable protection (not to rose thorns though)
    - Decent durability for how supple they are.
    - Great fit for me.

IMO these are a great combo for garden work.
I find riggers gloves too cumbersome for delicate garden work, and cheap cotton gloves a waste of time.
I'll buy another pair - I think the dogs have hidden mine.

  • like these gloves also. they are plyable and comfortable to wear which helps compared to more resilant gloves which may last longer but dont provide you with the same feel when working. this is of course subject to the tasks your performing - some people just dont give a .. and will wear anything :)

I hear what you are saying (and it's not me that negged you). I'm not questioning the quality of the gloves. I'm questioning whether this is a bargain or if it's just a regular price. This is OzBargain not Lassoo. The OP has written:

But found this ones in Aldi are on special

It's a classic marketing ploy of Aldi to have these weekly 'specials' but really how many of them are 'bargains'?

  • Are these available until sold out or only on special Saturday ?

Aren't all Aldi specials available until sold out? Just that some sell out that day (or even in the first 5mins for the motorcycle gear). Sometimes the specials aren't popular and don't sell out so the week or two aftwerwards the manager of the store will put a reduced price on those unsold items.

      • Man, that is SUCH a pain all too often experienced when shopping at Aldi. You spot something really nifty at a decent price in the catalogue days in advance… then the sale day comes up, but you can't get to the store until, oh, say 4pm, and BAM ALL STOCK GONE!

What the hell, right. So frustrating. My experience has been: stock sold out within first day, staff don't know when they'll receive more or IF they'll receive more stock, staff can't tell you WHICH store still has stock (sometimes staff don't even know they had such product in stock to begin with)… and you can't get a raincheck or anything. Once you miss out, that's it - sayonara to that item.

Happened to me today. Couldn't get to the store any earlier than 3pm and the special which started today (booze - hiccup) was well and truly sold out. Not quite sure how they manage to get away with that, tbh. The lure of the special buys… not quite a bait and switch… more like a bait and ha! you're trapped in our store, now you will buy bread, cheap veggies, more coffee pods for the coffee machine we lured you in to buy last time, and our delicious inexpensive luxury ice creams and you'll be back! oh yes, you'll be back.

  • Gloves down the best hand

  • Those black and white gloves look like something MJ would wear.
