not better deal than the previous 2 months free, now with 10% off for the first 12 months plus double data on few selected plans, to be honest, for places that you can use Vodafone, this is a good deal, I live in Gold Coast and have very good 4G speed at home

  • So let's say I sign up to a $100 plan online. I get 12 months with 10% off a saving of $120
    Or
I go into a store and port my number and get two months free which is a saving of $200
Hmm don't see the logic behind your comment that it's better value than the two months free?

    • typo err lol

    • Online rebate via qwibble as well for $120…

Just today I switch to Telstra on BYO $25 plan with inculded value of $300 + 300mb it seem pretty good, and the network is betta than voda

    • Vodafail sucks always. Been locked with Voda network before, totally nightmare for 2 years due to its most unreliable reception I ever use. Telstra is always the right way to go.

Telstra, no, no, and no. Their 'outstanding' customer services really were my nightmares. What a shame our gov privatised the national infurstructure for Telstra to be a monopoly, they dont create a best network among three but paying off once to eliminate competition hence charge us with their 'low' price. Pretty much unfair for Voda and Optus to compete, I cannot wait till these two group to one big player to flip Telstra boat, again, hope …

I would much rather deal with the Philippines than India.

TOTALLY agree with you! I have been suffering from their poor reception issue. Their so called technicians are impotent and could not solve any problem. I pay a top-dollar plan for two numbers, and they do not care about their customers. They informed me saying:" My poor reception issue cannot be fixed because of external factors. Our network is fine. So, if you want to terminate your contract, you will need to pay early termination fee ( which equals to the sum of residual monthly bills)."

I have very details story. Above is just in a nutshell. I spent about a month to deal with Vodafone for my poor reception issue already, and it has not been resolved yet.

If you could, try avoid Vodafone. Signal reception is everything. 4G and etc. are just selling points. If they could not get better network coverage, poor reception = you pay Vodafone for nothing.

      • They are in most instances, not always. Where I live optus is the way to go, optus = perfect reception while telstra = no reception inside, if I go outside and hold my phone up in the air I sometimes get one bar. I don't know what vodafone is like, but supposedly they share towers with optus, if that is the case then they could be better than they used to be.

    • My plan with Vodafone gives me $500 worth of calls and messages + 3Gb of data for $29 a month. I got them to price match a special that virgin mobile were having a while back. See if you could get that, too.

From experience- vodafone will suddenly forget about this offer. Happened to me with the NRMA discount.

I have been on vodafone for a year now and dont seem to have any issues with the network.

  • If only I'd spotted this deal before I walked in to the store over the road. I got the $65 red plan with the S5 in mid-April. I just went to the store and then spent a bit of time on the phone with Voda but they all tell me they're sorry there's no way they can apply the offer now. Bugger! I guess I could cancel the contract due to concerns over the network (assuming I have some…) but I'm not going to have it done in time to jump back on board with this 10% discount as the offer expires today…

    Win some, lose some…
