    It's 2 bucks cheaper here

Funny enough, pickup is from the same location.

    • Just wanted to share my experience here with appliancesdirectonline.com.au. I ordered this on 10th April for pickup from the Old Geelong Rd warehouse. To date, I have been to the warehouse, spoken to them twice and been told I will get a call when the product is in stock. I think 14 days is a tad bit too long for fulfilling an order.

Thank you for listing the Stancash link, I've had my eye on the 8635 for a while and even though I like the 7635 being so compact, I didn't want the ongoing cost of the cartidges. I prefer the de-calc knob on on the 8635. David Jones price matched for me even though Stancash is interstate, so I'm very happy :) I have used the 8635 and love it..I never used to iron as I found it such a chore.. but now I may even start ironing my bf's clothes!

      • Which David Jones was this? Im assuming you are in WA - called the Karrinyup branch and they said they would only price match with only local WA stores. Obviously attendant specific ?

        • Yes it would be at the discretion of the floor manager. I didn't call up beforehand, I just went in-store and asked when I was about to purchase it. They did mention normally it's only WA stores they price match but they were happy to do it for me - guess they weren't too fussed. It was the Perth CBD store.

    • Ended up getting the 8635 factory second (1 year warranty) from 2ndsWorld for $159. Very happy with it, would recommend.
Let's see how long it lasts.

You pay $20 every 3 month for the cartridge.. that's an ongoing cost

The cartridges are $10 each. Replacement will be longer if you use it less.

      • Can you link to the cartridge price. Peeps might want bundle up replacements with purchase.

I reckon cartridge is the best feature of this iron as opposed to loosing an expensive iron altogether due to calcification… My previous iron still works alright after 4 years except for water sputtering (started sputtering water after 1.5 year) due to calc. Better to spend $10 in 3 months to save an iron worth much more i guess.

  • I'm using an iron from KMart. $17. Works perfectly.

  • Hey guys, has anyone ordered this item from Billy Guyatts or Stan Cash? Called them up and they said they were getting more in next week but concerned about delivery time. I think i'll be able to make the purchase date for the cash back but the claims have received by 26th May and require the barcode cut out?
