      Not really, the mucus doesn't make it very far down the cylinder due to the way it's shaped (larger than the tube used for sucking). I used one of these on my daughter when she was too young to blow for herself. Awesome invention.

    These things are great. It's a bit weird the first few times sucking snot out of your babies nose - especially since it normally makes them a bit upset - but knowing they are not drowning in snot is a much better feeling.

      I'm pretty sure in one of the later MacGuyver episodes he performed a procedure like this on one of his kids - used a regular asthma puffer, but reversed the polarity
