Noontec 1TB 1000GB Built-in HDD Multimedia Hard Drive Player with HDMI - $199 + shipping

50

As above - I think $10-$15 shipping.

Can someone pls confirm this is a deal, so I can order it… lol.

The HDD is Western Digital and goes for about $110, so you are getting the media player really for approx $90.

Has anyone got any experience with this brand

  • good for dvd rips but can't play .mkv or x264 files which is the new stardard in blu ray rips :)

    • The specifications say it supports MPEG4, h.264 and mkv are simply a container format for the MPEG4 data so the player should cope just fine.

      • thanks neosin and anthony - you guys reckon its a yay or nay? I am not looking to play bluray files and dont require the best picture quality

        • if ur not planning on playing blu ray .mkv files then it should be ok for dvd rips

      • um, it will lag for sure, u know how big blu ray rips r? 6-15 gigs average. Not even a netbook can play 720p files yet alone this thing that doesn't have a proper cpu or gpu…

        • Hmm, my HDTank plays HD rips fine. Not sure about this brand though.

  • I just bought the noontec 3731 from the same site for $280 so lets hope its good.
oh and if anyone is buying this use this code "TB121516" (no quotes) when checking out, it's good for $10.00 off orders over $100!
