I would never go with Budget Direct no matter the price for one simple reason

That stupid ad with the aliens drives me absolutely nuts

I personally wouldn't go with them because of the way they handle CLAIMS.

You literally have to go to the Ombudsman to get money out of them!

      Read the Reviews above.

first time i've seen someone post a deal followed by a warning

  • Poor deal. IMB have an offer where you get $200 EFTPOS card for the same thing. Motor or Home Insurance. www.imb.com.au it's listed on their home page. I saw the offer also promoted inside their branch in Glen Waverley.

So you get a $25 gift card if you sign up to an insurance policy that, according to the OP, is impossible to actually claim from?

That's not a bargain, that's a scam. If claiming on the policy is not permitted then the bargain would be not to sign up with them and not pay the premium, which would save you more than $25.

  • Waste hundreds on a policy you state you cant claim on to get a $25 gift card …. on what universe is this a Bargain?

I hate the constant use of FREE when you have to spend copious amounts of money to get something additional.

    • If someone has time to burn, get a quote via the link with the gift card and then get a quote using the same information going direct to the website (not via gift card link). Be interesting to see if the prices come out the same or if they quote extra to cover the cost of the card.
