Hi, i've heard about the Apple TV.
But what does it really offer to consumers?
Well it basically stream and plays your iTunes media onto a television through the HDMI port.
It has a fruit on it.
I have had an Apple TV for a while, if you want to stream audio/video from an iDevice it is a pretty slick solution. It is very locked into Apple walled garden. If you don't use iTunes/iPads/iPhones it is of limited value.
On a related note, we recently bought a Sony Bluray player for $119.00. Plays from DLNA servers and is much more useful than an Apple TV. Especially paired up with something like Plex on a nearby computer. As Borat would say 'very niiice'.
