tablet has Z2760 cpu, nowhere near as good as Bay Trail, the high price seems entirely due to tablet being waterproof

  Waterproof doesn't really mean 'waterproof'. Unless I see a tablet w/o port covers & uses magnetic charging dunked under at least 1m of water (short amount of time) & survives, these devices marketed as water-proof will always be seen as water-resistant in my eyes…
  
  Yes, I've owned IP57, IP67 devices in the past & eventually fail to keep water out because the seals inside shrink over time thus leaving gaps to seep through.
  
  If nano-coating applied ext. & int. (like on the Moto G) becomes industry standard for waterproof devices, we are looking at a bright future indeed.
