    Most other places you can pick up this up for the same price (eg: MSY). Although if it had free shipping, it would make this decent if you don't have a store nearby.

      True.

      But i purchased many things from 9289 while they had free shipping on as it is easier, even if it costs a little more than buying it locally as i dont need to drive down and wait in line.

      Now having to pay $11 shipping i am much more inclined to go to my local store

  looks like MSY has sonys (and other brands) at 39 too.

  shop bot had them for cheaper but no longer stocked.

  not a bad price, just not a bargain.

      yeah but still this one isn't quite a bargain, id classify neutral as don't really know, + as way cheaper than anything else. negative as no savings to be had.

      i mean really a bargain is something you get thats just such a good deal, and i just dont see a 39 dollar DVD writer being such a good deal!

  Actually, a quite a few stores are out of stock of DVD burners so this is quite a good deal. I had to pay $55 for 1 of 4 left at CPL (melb) as MSY (north melb) was out of stock. It's even mentioned here: http://dma.net.au/
