Any idea how long this SIM will be valid with the above offer if not activated?

If you find this out can you please post this or PM me?
I am keen to know as well.

    • Don't know if that's the info you want, but I just ordered it and on the groupon voucher it says:
      Valid to: 02.07.2014

  • What network do they go through?

      Powered by Vodaf…one? fail

Vodafone. Much better signal than Optus where I live.

Edit: disclosure, I hate Optus due to a prior billing rip-off. Their accounting practices are really SHI!T. Anyone remember AAPT ? And Telstra's practice of billing for a rental phone even if you didn't have one.

Vodafone and Optus share network towers now, all you have to do is turn on roaming. I find I am seeing no difference between these guys and Optus or Tel$tra. If anything in my particular area it beats telstra, but of coarse it'll vary from person to person and telstra normally offer better coverage.

Hello i purchased this recently and i cant believe how bad the connection was and the internet some times would be at 5KBps i have spoken to lebara Australia and Fiji where there call centres are and they said that they use Vodafone towers and its not there responsibility for the speed and connection and they cannot do anything about it i am warning you stay away i have lodged a dispute to the TIO about them if u need a good cheap service i have used lebara gt mobile boost Aldi when they were unlimited amaysim hello mobile and from personal experience boost is by far the best u pay $40 for all unlimited and 2gb internet but in sydney metro i have hit 1.5MBps which is faster than my adsl2+ and always full connection because its telstra service i hope i have stopped at least one person from making this huge mistake

I switched to Lebara after the last deal and couldn't be happier. Good reception and 23mbps speedtest is fine by me.

Bought this and received two sims instead of a sim and a recharge card. Called up Groupon, they told me to call Lebara, called up Lebara they said they don't have anything to do with it…

    • Have a look on your Groupon MyAccount, and first see what you purchased.
      I suspect, you purchased 2x $15 Deal, instead of 1x $30 Deal

At the end of the month, you still have the option of switching back to your old prepaid carrier, then switching back later.

Same thing happened to me, bought the 60 day deal and received two sim cards. The Lebara cust. service girl told me to transfer the number over to the new sim. She didn't sound convincing thou, we shall see.

Same as me. I've got 2 sim cards.

I moved to lebara and i find them on par with Telstra in terms of reception in the areas I travel. Internet speed is nowhere near as good, but typically 2-8 Mbps. Just make sure you have all your settings correct and it should be alright. Definitely worth $15/month.

I'm considering this. Just noticed at last thing I bought at Groupon- Dodo unlimited 30 days call and text with 10GB data for $9.

Why does Groupon make you put in an email address before you can look? I put in a phony one every time because it always annoys me. I bet I'm not the only one.

    • So you agree to their T&Cs; just click on the "already signed up and agree…" under the Sign Up link.

  • Does anyone know if I can activate the sim with a non-australian passport?
    Thx

    • Not sure, you could call their contact centre?

      • I emailed them and its fine. Thx

  • Lebara uses Vodafone, so I'm only getting 3-bars of reception at home.
Whereas with Amaysim (Optus), I got the full 4-bar.
Bit concerned, as I live in the inner-west and should have strong reception.

Otherwise, I've very happy for essentially unlimited talk and text for $15. Great Deal.

  • Check your order carefully when it arrives. We ordered 2x$15 twice. Received order confirmation and PayPal processed two enteries $30 and $30 ($60). We received two envelopes. Each contained 1 sim card only which is 1 x $15. So shortchanged 1 x $15 each ($30). Rang today and lady said she was sending me an email outlining what I needed to do to get this investigated. Seems it can't be done by just a phone call. From what I understood she could see our order but said they needed a screen print of my Paypal record emailed to them - is this normal? However, no email arrived from her. I cant work out which number on envelope matches original orders. I have tried using two different electronic methods to contact them this evening but neither work. First time I have had a problem with groupon transactions - not that I have used them very often. Does anyone know how I can contact them electronically tonight otherwise, I will have to ring them again tomorrow. Thx
