7 Days of Free Stock Image DOWNLOADS

21

From a TecHive email [http://www.techhive.com/] received today :-

To create awareness for GraphicStock.com, they are giving away 7 days of complimentary access to download anything you want from over 250,000 images, icons, vectors, textures, backgrounds and more:

Just create a username and password, and you get download access to everything on GraphicStock for 7 days. You can download 20 images per day.

GraphicStock is only giving this complimentary access to a limited number of users, so start downloading now:

This is similar to https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/117797 AND
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/115178

I have not yet downloaded anything now or before [time and skill set poor] but would like some pretties [or is that too dystopian and really is the Uglies] and at 20 a day on each device well you do the sums.

My 2nd post trust this is on track? Did not list as Freebie as one must create user name and password.

Note finishing time which I have guesstimated to be seven days from yesterday but there may be a day not counted or started wrong!

  • Can you view what's available without creating an account ?

    • +2

It's actually promotion landing page. Just visit their homepage then you can browse and preview everything.

      • thanks

  • As per previous deals notes. Requires credit card and you will be charged if you you don't cancel after 7 days. Remove this and a lot more people will be willing to trial it, maybe use a coupon code or something to avoid the system being abused.

Probably should mention the limit of 20 downloads per day.

  • Do you actually 'own' the images you get?

without having downloaded, All images have some form of copyright or acknowledgement requirements especially if used for commercial opportunities.

However their "Join me" page states ''Royalty Free''. No Additional Fees

All clips provided on GraphicStock.com come with the right to use them royalty free in all types of projects. There are absolutely no additional fees beyond the subscription cost.

Again Cancel ASP at end of 6/7days or do not download after free period or there is no refund of fee. http://www.graphicstock.com/page/guarantee/

ONLY if you are good a keeping a diary cancel on day 6. Keep copy of instructions and send to CC provider to have them also cancel for what its worth. http://www.graphicstock.com/page/guarantee/

as posted confirmed 20 download per day.

    • I am afraid of site crash at the due date. It happened to me once and already made claim. No deal.

    Damn needs CC.. its a no-go ^^

20 downloads a day is fairly reasonable amount.. considering it takes about 1 hour to select, download, and tag 20 images.

  • No way , too many times ive clapped out and forgotten or too busy to cancel then get stung.

    • That's their business model

I paid for this service during a previous deal.
The graphics are good and useful, but note they are all vector diagrams, not stock photos. They are useful if you do lots of powerpoint etc.
You get a perpetual licence to use the images but not resell them.

All that said, I don't think this is a bargain as they continually run the 7 day free offer. No criticism of the poster, but I'm negging to highlight no special offer here.

  • I get this email from so many different places every few days :\

  • Serious question: so apart from this deal, is there anywhere else that's more aligned with the OZBers' true values and code of conduct? (ie. good quality but cost next to nothing)???

    • iStock 20 free items each week:

May or may not be what you are after, but may also help others :)

      • That's awesome, thanx mate. But iStock's pics appeared to be for "Editorial" purposes only, not commercial. So would this mean we cant use it on client's website etc?

        • Licensing varies per photo. This explains it (towards the end): http://www.istockphoto.com/help/licenses
Not a lawyer, I'd say no because editorial use cannot be used for commercial purposes. Seems like you can for your own website to act as a descriptor though.

    • There are people on fiverr with presumably unlimited stock licences that will sell you your choice of 5 images for $5.
