  • Great buy just bought these from jbhifi last month for $129 on sale. For the price an excellent set of speakers and quite loud too

  • I guess it's still a better deal when JBHIFI had the Z906 for $238 last year. You like pay $138 more and you get a 5.1 home theatre speaker system like.

But Not everyone wants 5.1 so this is a great buy.$30 cheaper then the price they are normally on sale at.

  • Just add to basket - comes up as OP describes - $99
    Good post

  • Review described these speakers as huge - 5.6 x 5.4 inch (14cm x 13cm) for the two speakers.

It is a great deal but because of its size, I have to give up :(

I wonder if we can ask for price match in OW?

    • Why would you want to price match since you're not interested because the size is too big? " I have to give up".

      • +4

Ozbargain. If the price is cheap enough, everyone impulse buys… then figures out what to do with it later

  • +1

awesome speakers - I got them in the 30% GG ebay sale - but at $20 more.

  • Would these be good for a 40inch tv in a small unit lounge room or are these mire for computers?

    • +2

These would be more than adequate.

    • +2

Yeah! I chucked mine out with my 42" in the lounge and they are fantastic. If you don't need 5.1, they are amazing for a home theatre in a smallish room. Haven't tried in any bigger of a room.

      • Thanks guys. Got some :)

  • it is good for pc and music play

  • Is this available in store?

  • I got these a few months back price-matched at OW for $120ish - some of the best 2.1 speakers you can buy for under $200.

  • very good speakers, got them from OW for $99 a year go, haven't seen anything lower than that.

  • +1

Paid $150 a year ago off ebay brand new.
best speakers ive ever got wouldnt hesitate to buy these again if my current ones stop working.

  • Great Deal!
They're good speaker. Been waiting for a deal. Thanks Author

  • Mine just broke the other day.

And by broke I mean there's a very obvious buzzing distortion noise in the left speaker when I turn it up to a normal-loud volume.

Why does logitech stuff I buy always die after about 2 years? :<

I can't really see any obvious alternative this time around though. Maybe I should just buy them again, uggh.

    • They have a 2 year replacement warranty, so check you aren't still covered.
I got my 18 month old set replaced as the power button was being dodgy.

  • Thanks OP - Ordered!

  • Awesome buy - LOVE these speakers. I have my PC, Xbox and PS3 connected all at once. Top product and cannot beat this price!

JB want $199 for these. Officeworks $129.00. So $99 delivered is a great deal.

detailed review of the z2300 vs z623:

    http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Speakers/Is-Logitech-Z-623-the…

I have the z2300 and it's still going strong. I use them as my computer speakers.

    • Yes, it's no secret that Logitech has been going through a rampant cost-cutting strategy since about 2009, whereby updates of previously very well-received products have in fact been downgrades, technically.

That being said, though the Z906 and Z623 are slightly less stellar than their predecessors (speaker drivers haven't changed but the subs and internal circuity/amp are definitely lower-end); they are still pretty damn good speaker systems for their respective price ranges.

I used to have the Z5500 and am currently using the Z906; they still sound great, just not as bass-heavy in my opinion.

    Thanks OP

Just what I've been waiting for!

  • +2

    Thanks OP!

Got them priced matched at OW, ended up being $94

    • would OW price match (QLD) if you scan the receipt and post it on here?

  • +8

Checkout with the code TAKE10OFF for an extra 10% off!… brings it down to $89.10.

    • I can't believe that worked. Great find.

    • This tipped me over the edge! Had been hesitant on these but this is an absolute bargain!

    • thanks man! this was the push I need to buy these again. I guess even if they do die after 2 years that's still only $45~ish per year, not bad at all.

  • if only it has optical in, how do you connect this to a gaming console like ps3?

    • I am using 3 sets of analog inputs…

  • Are these better than the Gigabeat T3's?

Edit: these ones don't look as nice.

"the subwoofer impressed us with its strong and deep bass. Compared to the Creative Gigaworks T3's sub, the Logitech Z623's sub delivered deeper and slightly more powerful bass but the Gigaworks T3's sounded punchier with more impressive slam."

"overall mids reproduction sounded a bit dull and not as crisp as what we heard from speakers like the Creative Gigaworks T3."

"As I saw in the mids, the highs also sounded more laid back than we'd have liked them to. This was obvious when I compared the speaker against others like the Creative Gigaworks T3"

The $45 T3s last year were a steal.

      • thank, I picked up a set of T3s from DSE last year for 79 from memory, they were a steal at that price. They lack a little in the mids, so if these have worse mids I am glad I got the T3s

    • +1

      http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/pc-speaker-2.1-channel-s…

I have heard both, the Z623 are way better than the T3s, T3s have harsh highs, no mids and bass is muddy. Only negative with the Z623 is no tweeter, so misses some of the high freq's.

      • I have both and personally prefer the T3s. I agree on the mids, they're a bit lacking but I definitely don't find the highs harsh and bass muddy at all.

  • its saying out of stock now…

    • It's in stock for me.

  • yeah home delivery not selectable

    • click and collect does not work either

  • My order has been shipped - paid 89.10 thanks op

  • Picked mine up today. Woa. The bass really fills the room and shakes the floor.

    Solid kit.

  • +1

Mine were delivered today. Actually paid $99 but then emailed them afterwards saying I forgot to apply the coupon code for 10% off. They refunded me the $9.90! AMAZING speakers for the price. I foresee some grumpy neighbours!

    • Did you email them via their contact us page?

      • I just replied via email to the Order Acknowledgement email they sent.

  • Btw thanks OP. Decent for the price. Hopefully they sound even better once they are worn in. :)

  • Got mine today they are great for the money I just find the subs bass midpoint too high even when I set it there. Anyone else agree? of course I can just turn it down a bit but it seems like they didn't configure it correctly with the speakers.

  • Got mine yesterday.

What cable do I need for the tv to connect to the dual channel rca?

  • +1

Got mine last week but installed them today. Talk about doof doof. I suppose I knew what I was getting in for reading all the reviews. Couldn't go past the $89 price!
