That site is so fake it's ridulous. It's not even a .au site.
Have to beware of fake's online, especially at prices too good to be true.
I did a whois.sc on the url and it goes to a owner in fuzhou, fujian in china.The website looks really tacky too, with the website verify link not working.
Also, real GHD's have holographic stickers with a code for you to check online to see if its real or not.
I would recommend ry.com.au for real GHD at a cheaper then retail price, they're website verification link actually works.
Impoze, how do you do a whois.sc on the url? I would like to know so I can check in the future before getting conned!

Just checked this site out as the gf keeps harping on about getting one, but does the site look sus to anyone else ? Payment is Paypal and contact email address for customer service is gmail.
If you pay with paypal and use your credit card you can do a chargeback if you don't receive the straighteners so there is no real downside loss.
And if you receive it and it's a cheap knock-off and your head catches on fire what then?
Oooh, had no idea that this is a fake… a friend of mine just bought one and referred it on to me! Does anyone know how to stop the payment from going through???
You can still do a chargeback if you paid with a credit card.

If they have paid then that's final.
If it doesnt turn up in after a week or two and they paid from their credit card then tell them to call the card issuer and request a chargeback.
(It is generally easier to wait for the credit card statement to arrive so you can tell them the exact transaction ID you wish to cancel)

The "beware of fakes" logo (in the upper left hand side of the web page) does not direct to the GHD site as it states and there is no current time printed in the image either
