Great prices for these two Samsung TVs.
SAMSUNG 51" (130cm) Full HD Plasma TV PS51F5000 $639.76
$8 Cheaper than previous offer
Samsung 48" (122cm) Full High Definition LED TV UA48H5000 $879.12
Samsung have discontinued their plasmas in Australia and also in the USA - they're no longer listed on their website. Very sad. Buy one while they're still available.
I suppose it's going to be all LED in the future.
Slow EPG :/
What's an EPG? I've had my plasma for over a year and never used this function.
Electronic Program Guide.
Never used it.
I agree, the EPG is slow, I used it all the time to record TV shows.
Yeah EPG is pretty slow. But Plex app is very good on Samsung TV's as an alternative
No stock anywhere?
Um, read my above post. Samsung have discontinued their plasmas in Australia.
Buyer beware on these ones people, Bought one last time round and its already broken. >1 month of use.
How was your experience dealing with Dick Smith for a replacement or repair?
The code doesn't seem to work.
The code applied for me here but as for the 51" Plasma TV it only brought the price down for the home delivery part which is greyed out and unavailable to select. The click and collect remains at full price.
It's a pity that it's showing as click and collect only for the 51" TV and seems to be mostly sold out at stores according to the store stock status just about every where. The online store must have sold out of stock. And the code is not applying to click and collect order.
The deal seems to be all over for the 51" unless you want to click and collect at full price if you find a store that has it. The 48" LED TV seems to be still available for home delivery.
Mine lasted 11 months then dead, fixed under warranty but wont buy Samsung again.
Got no idea why someone had negged your comment. : (
We recentlyish bought a 50" LED Samsung Smart T.V for around $800 on a you beaut Dick Smith sale.
The panel was rubbish, with big marks on the screen. My local Samsung repair agents (Cairns) picked it up , repaired it and the new panel is great.
I wasn't happy that the first panel made it thru quality control, but i am not put off buying another Samsung.
Looks like the 48" LED is in much less demand than the 51" Plasma was. Kudos to whose who managed to score one of the Plama tv's.
Looks like in the not so distant future you won't be able to get Plasma TV's from Dick Smith again. There's only 1 plasma TV left on their site and it's a Panasonic 60" Plasma tv. Maybe that plasma tv will be the next to go on sale?.
