I bought a gearbest one and it's black and has no zoom, however i also ages ago bought another one (cant remember where from) and it was silver.. it had zoom, and looks exactly the same as the one in the picture above.
well, it does say zoom in the title. but I know what you mean about the gearbest one.
I've already got one too and it's the very end piece that zooms. Just make sure that yours isn't jammed shut or something!
I find the generic ones often fail on the switch. I have had a couple of Sipik SK68 one and they seem to hold up best. One of the black ones has done so many miles in my pocket most of the black has worn off and it goes great. SO I would spend a little more for a Sipik, that said - can't go too far wrong with a $3 version.
The thing I dislike about these torches is that they switch between High-Mid-Strobe after every click and the sequence doesn't reset. So if I use it the first time it's on High. The next time I use it, it's Mid and the time after it would be on Strobe.
Would be nice if they could make one that leaves torch on High setting and to switch it would require half button depress; or make the switch occur if button is turned off and on again within a second; or make one that has a memory function so it remembers which one it was turned off at and uses that setting when it turns back on.
Completely agree, I'd prefer just one mode, on/high.

There are others out there in china that do cheap deals on these torches and have a better consistency than this group!

Make sure you check the led before buying http://flashlightwiki.com/Cree, they could send you the wrong stuff anyway, but before make sure the cree led corresponds to their advertised specs.
Also max lumen count for single cree led is the XM-L2 U3 with around 1200 lumens, don't let yourself get fooled, that is still theoretical highs

I didn't receive any respond from myled so I have opened the dispute in PayPal. Hopefully I will get my money back.
Received 2 of my orders and delivery was less than a month. I didn't receive my first order which, is more than a month and half.
Got 2 refunds because they didn't respond to the dispute with Paypal.
Paypal just refunded me.
I reported it to Paypal and referred them to ozbargain threads so they might cut them off at the pocket!
Try to avoid myled at all cost, bought the led bulb from them 2 months ago till now haven't received the stocks, emailed them but no reply at all, try to dispute transaction but unfortunately it's more than 45 days already, if anyone know what can I do please kindly let me know :(

Some idiots on ozbargain support these guys still, but anyone who carries out business like this should be banned.
Have you noticed that new posts from Myled have quick responses from the reps, but after the post and the money is in their account the dont give a shit.
If enough dont report on ozbargain and paypal, then they pocket the money and post the next scam.
The postage system they use is either to dodgy to warrant them posting on ozbargain, or its a scam where a lot dont get anything and they keep the money.. Then post again.
It's a month tomorrow and nothing so far!!!

Mods please note… The general concensus seems very negative towards Myled, and as I hadn't used them before and jumped onto this before people had posted their experiences, I must say I'm starting to see why!!!
