    Nope.

    Try GParted or Paragon Alignment Tool, if you want to realign an existing partition without deleting it.

    Really though if you have misaligned partitions on any drive (especially the OS drive); you should delete the partition and use DiskPart in Command Prompt to manually set the correct offset size.

  Here is a question. What change is made to your system when you activate the program (Eg creation of a new registry key, writing of a secret file to somewhere on your HDD, etc)?

  If we knew this info, we could activate the program at a later date or on a new installation. If anyone good at sleuthing about system changes, and at least know which programs to use to figure this out?

    I'm not advocating anything but yes you could easily use Microsoft's Process Monitor to log every file/reg key change & location during the installation and simply go looking for the likely licence file.

    Hardly any applications of this nature go to great lengths to obfuscate licence/registration information; in fact many of them store the keys/registration details in plain text .lic files or registry keys under their Program name.

    Simply copying valid licence files from one installation to another and blocking all outbound traffic from the application .exe's usually defeats them 9 times out of 10.

      Thanks for this. I remember using Process Monitor once several years ago but had forgotten its name until you reminded me. From memory I got a staggering amount of data about everything that was happening while my computer was seemingly idle, and had to do something to filter out everything but a certain exe. I wonder where EaseUS is hiding its registered status?

  I have investigated this program and I think people will have problems activating it after tomorrow (eg new install). The exe needs to phone home to install and to retrieve a serial number, and it doesn't seem to create a full unpacked installer in the Temp directory to save later. If you block it, it refuses to install.

  I found a program called SysTracer and used it to analyze the install (snapshots before and after).
  The serial info is saved here in the Registry:
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\EASEUS\EPM\Key

  There are 5 files also added to both the System32 and SysWow64 directories, including 1 driver, which is why simply copying the install directory to a New OS and reuing the 'cereal' will most likely not work.
