Cannot see confirmation "for life". How long is this service for.

    • +3

They have a team of hitmen, they usually get around to you within a month or two…

    • The discounted "One Site" package never expires, i.e. for a single payment of $14.50 you’ll be able to test as long as the service exists (we guarantee at least 12 months).

    • Spot on! 9 second average time to load is too much, especially for mobile users :)

      • +1

I just tried it on my iPhone and it took under 3 seconds. Why is your tool showing 9 seconds ???

        • It's an average time around the world (we are testing from different continents)
and consider that the loading time != rendering time.
you may have content appear, but site still loading in background (not fully functional)

        • i use pingdom to ping my site and othrs

it only show 5 sec on pingdom, and it is in US, so i am not sure how you can get it 9 sec and you are in AUS.

          http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/#!/dhRbkp/www.ozbargain.com.au

        • Ping time is the time to access the website, not to load the website page completely when it becomes fully functional.

        • +2

If you actually take a look at Pingdom's report, you'll see that it is not measuring the ping time but to load all the assets. Consider it wasted the first 727ms to bounce from http:// to https:// version of OzBargain (as we do HTTPS-only here), and the test is performed from all the way from Amsterdam, Netherlands (all our servers are in Sydney as 95+% of our users are based in Australia), 5.9s load time for front page isn't that bad…

I use Google PageSpeed Insights which is free, and gives OzBargain 82/100 for Desktop and 67/100 for Mobile. Looks like Google is more generous in giving out marks :)

Tools like this are free can't imagine paying for them.

  • Soooo many free tools do these checks (not all in one check, but each tool does a better job in their field)

There are no services that provide customers with FREE mobile testing on real devices and tablets, and which provide integrated cycle of finding issues impacting visitors and explaining how to fix these issues.
Not saying about their performance, where you need to wait for 3-10 minutes to get results, when you get our results in seconds.

Yes, there are a lot of free services that either do 10% of what we do, or pretend that they are testing on mobile devices, but in result rendering the same site in your browser using iframe, or changing userAgent and pretending that you see mobile results.
There are really few competitors that use real devices for site testing and provide results in seconds

Just try to use those "free" alternative and us to understand the difference :)

  • nowadays, its not really necessary for a page to be fully loaded in order for it to be functional.
    well thats because of Ajax.

    • It's twofold - ajax loads your content and functionality that is critical for you page.

There is no definitive answer on this topic, and that's why we collect data for site access time, full page load time and page content size, to help you make an informed decision about the required change.

I know I am asking a lot (I really am not)……, but how about you use the email I provided and not the one you got from paypal. If i wanted to the use the paypal address then on the registration form I would have put it in.

Why do you have an email field on this form https://shots.testize.com/order?package=onesite if you go ahead and steal my info from Paypal anyway?

    • Hi Mihai,

      we addressing your issue now.
