Cheapest on Staticice. Next best is $329.00 at PCCG.

  • isn't iibuy a bad co. to deal with? I would google it before you buy

    • There's a link to productreview in the related store section above. Looks pretty bad…

  • It says Black Edition which is clocked at 1080, but the product code listed (R9-280X-TDFD) is the Double Edition, which is only 850 with a 1000 boost.

    • Good spotting. Still a cheap deal for any R8 280X but poor that they cannot describe it correctly.

      • You mean R9

        • Yep typo sorry. I haven't bought a gfx card in a while, anyone know off hand what the Nvidia equivalent is for the R9 270/280X series ?

          EDIT: I am guessing a GTX 760 ?
          http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.php?gpu=Radeon+HD+7970…

Slightly lower benchmark than the R9-280X but significantly cheaper ($230-260)
The GTX770 is much faster but jumps to $355+

        • An R9 280x is equivalent to a GTX770 and 270x to a GTX760

They're cheaper than the nvidia, perhaps the nvidia performs little better, but for the price, I wouldn't go there

        • GTX760/770 respectively.

        • Thanks guys. You answered at the same time I was editing with my Google research. Glad I came up with a similar answer.

        • Most 7970's clock well too, can get 1200+ on mine, not sure about these 280X's though

        • actually just bought a gigabyte 7970 off eBay for $229. Should be quite an upgrade from my 6850, assuming it'll fit haha

  • ive got 2x gtx 275's but am looking to upgrade to something that has dx11 support.. any suggestions? im talking bang for buck preferably under $350? does it matter if you get a NVidia or raedeon?

    • I'd probably recommend either the 7970 or r9 280x for the best bang for your buck - assuming you're happy with buying used off eBay. Can easily get them for <$300. The 280x is the slightly better card.

      • thanks
