Bit of a mark-up over the Crucial M500. I mean i got the M500 240GB SSD for like about $120 delivered from Amazon.

And it's only $23 less than the $199 price that you can get it Australian stock from PCCG and MSY. Even less when paying via most credit cards with the CC currency conversion fee of 2.5% (would be only about $16 less in that case). Not really such a bargain.

Personally i'd rather get the Australian stock since this is not much less for overseas stock with overseas warranty. It really isn't a bargain.

    • Did you bother to read the title properly? This is for the newer M550, not the M500…newer product, means higher prices…older product which is basically being cleared out is obviously going to be cheaper

      • Thanks for clearing it up ABZ.

Yes i know exactly what it is. The Crucial M550 may be faster in benchmarking but the M500 is better bang for the buck when it comes to price per gig. But if you want to pay $60 extra just for the slightly extra benchmark speed. But it's not like you're going to see much of a difference in real world use. Maybe to show off an e-penis factor.

    • These are significantly faster than their predecessors. What price you're willing to put on that is up to you, but these are not merely rebadged M500s.

      • And thank you Amar.

      • Never said the M550 was a rebadged M500.

        • Never said you did. But the mark-up is there for a reason. Not justifying it, just highlighting it.
