The Last of Us PS3 $16.50 Free Shipping @ Mariio128 Games

1000

Amazing deal for an amazing game!

Not sure if it's a pricing error or not but it's definitely a good price for a sealed copy of this game.

Edit: Despite stock showing only 2 available, it seems to auto update once you buy a copy.

  • There are… 6 copies in total…. 2 already sold at point of posting this message.

    • +4

The stock levels displayed are misleading since they keep updating evening after a purchase (possibly a sales tactic).

      • Correct. Just bought one. Went down to 3 for a second and back up to 4 now.

  • +2

So its US region but you need to have a US PSN account to activate the season pass?

    • +2

      yep

      • +1

yup you will need to buy the US season pass, but you can play the MP under your AU account

  • Redundant

  • +2

Do consider a PS4 remastered dlc bundled version is coming out before buying.

  • SOLD OUT..

    edit : in stock again.

  • +6

    @blahman

Major eBay retailers use automated software to manage their listings. Some of these contain a feature which allows you to keep the available quantity at a certain level in order for the "Limited quantity remaining" message to appear in the listing.

It's all about driving consumers to impulse buy. "Only 4 left! I better buy right away so I don't miss out"

  • +1

I think there are a more than 4 left.
It said 4 and I bought one and still says four.

Did everyone get a tracking number? Mine ends with 8347HK
      And i've got feedback already..

      • +2

Got a tracking number myself. Ends with HK but with different numbers. I guess they had it all packed up and ready to ship.

        • +2

Good, i was slightly worried that we would all be sent the same tracking number.

        • +2

The seller likely hadn't posted yet, just packaged and scanned the tracking info into the system.

      • +1

feedback is automatic process done by the system, once you paid, you got the feedback right away

    • +1

And now have tracking details confirmed from Hong Kong post…sweet

  • +4

saw there was only 1 copy left and i bought it without even reading the description … what sort of animal have i becometh

    • I got it without realising it's the US version, but that doesn't really matter anyway.

  • So darn cheap. Wish I waited for this, got mine for $49

  • Said 4 copies left for me. I went ahead and bought one. Let's see if it actually works!

EDIT: Seller has already left positive feedback for me.

  • +2

200 sold in an hour bloody hell

  • +6

Too late for me, already pre-ordered the PS4 version.

If there's anyone left that hasn't bought this on PS3.. well.. you are The Last of Us.

  • +1

bought..can't remember whether i had one of these at home sitting……..but still buy due to dirt cheap!

  • +3

Great game. I bought a PS3 not long ago for the primary purpose of playing this game.

  • +2

    Thanks gang, grabbed one.
I've got a copy at home on load from a friend but I've had it so long and still haven't gotten to it so thought it was time to get my own and let him have his own property back!
So, what's with the DLC issue if you don't run a US PSN account. Can you still access DLC or not through the AU/EU PSN store?
    Cheers.

    • +1

You'll need to use the US PSN to buy DLC for it. You can still play it on your AU account though.

  • +2

Looks like it is a pricing error - it is now listed at $46.5

    • Whoops, does the seller have to honour the pricing error or will he do a JB?

      • +2

If the seller doesn't honour, I believe there will be a horde of negative feedbacks coming their way…

"220 sold in one hour" and "One person is viewing this item per hour" shown on the same page. WTF.

  • +2

Went to buy at 16.50… Logged into Velocity for points, Price jump to $46.50. Price appears to be a typo and is now fixed. Missed it by 20 seconds Dammit!

    • +6

Oh the irony, too slow because of velocity.

  • Good news if it's a paid upgrade to the PS4 version like Minecraft.

    • It's not a digital version, so there's very little chance of that. The Minecraft upgrade is only for Digital versions.

    • ND already said there is no upgrade plan for this game.

  • Shucks. Missed it because I was looking for a cheap PS3 on scumtree to go with the game.

  • pricing error …expired

  • $46.50 NOW!

    buyer must have caught on…

wonder if all previous orders will be cancelled (if not already "shipped").

    • Says 148 sold in 1 hour. Wow. I reckon the seller accidentally listed at an incorrect price. Meant to be $46.50 not $16.50. Some one accidentally entered a 1 instead of 4. I reckon the seller will start to panick if not already so. $30 lost on every sale. That's a loss of $4440.

      • But just think how much they've saved on e-bay fees!!

  • Price says $46.50. Deal is over.

    • I have a suspicion we will get mass cancellations due to pricing error.

      • +5

        Leave a negative feedback then

        • +2

It was saying 220 sold in an hour just a while ago. Unlike JB's price error on the Sony eReader, this seller will have to either offer up the goods or take the feedback hit of 200+ negatives in a row.

As feedback has a direct effect on sales and eBay rankings they've got a lot tougher a decision to make.

        • +5

I've never understood why people would give bad feedback for a pricing error? If it was a mistake, it was a mistake. No need to give bad feedback just because you didn't get a huge bargain because someone typed the wrong number accidentally.

        • +1

because its a time waster and sets unmet expectations

the seller should be more careful

        • +1

Wow, you do know the seller is human, right?
People make mistakes, and people end up paying for them.
But 2 minutes of your time can't be worth so much as to cost someone $30.

        • +1

I'm conflicted on this. The eBay reputation system is completely shot to sh*t with sellers demanding positive feedback for refunds or not leaving feedback until you give (unwarranted) positive feedback.. But at the same time, it is supposed to indicate how reliable the unknown person you're about to enter a contract is. This is clearly a mistake en masse that has irritated a lot of people, but I'm not sure the effect this'll have on their business is entirely proportionate.

  • +1

what the hell? $46.50 now? Must be pricing error…GL in getting in the post..the seller would probably refunded all the transactions from before

  • +4

    Price now AU $149.50

    • +3

Geez i don't know what's going on there. Seller trying to recoup some of the lost money?.

  • +1

Incredible. It is now listed as $149.5!

  • +1

    $149.5! another pricing error!

  • +1

is it me or is it showing AU $149.50 now???!!!

    • +2

It's not you it is showing as $149.50.

  • +1

It's gone from 148 sold in 1 hour to 112 sold. Seller is starting cancellations. Too bad hey.

    • +3

Hopefully he starts with chumps buying multiple multiples.

    • +1

      You received cancellation notice?

    • +1

Now down to 82 sold. The seller is being busy with the cancellations.

I wonder how much negative feedback this seller is going to get soon?.

    • Edited.

    • +3

It may not mean he's cancelling as it's the amount sold in an hour isn't it? As time goes on it will naturally shrink unless people keep buying

      • +1

Not this quick. It's now at 66 sold. Can't be going down that quick if it's as you think it is. Was at 82 sold just 5 mins ago.

    • +3

      I don't think so.

Even after an order is cancelled, the sales total will still appear as they are.

As for "x items sold in x hours", it basically means just that i.e. It's the number of items sold in 1 hour. Since I posted this 2 hours ago, naturally over time the number of purchases will also decrease.

  • +1

If you keep refreshing the page every 10 seconds or so you'll find the sold in 1 hour figure to be keep on going down. Going down by about 1 or 2 every 10 seconds. The seller is busy manually submitting cancellations.

I reckon the seller saw the large amount of orders at the incorrect $16.50 priced. Panicked and quickly increased the price to $149.50 to stop people buying more and is now cancelling all the orders.

    • +1

it probably meant that in every 10 seconds, there were 1 or 2 people scooping up the deal when it was $16.5

      • +1

Yeah but still i can't see the seller honouring the $16.50. It seems too cheap. Especially when he jacked the price up to $46.50 and then to $149.50. I reckon the price was meant to be the $46.50.

Going by that the seller is due to lose thousands of dollars.

Actually the purchase history shows 346 sold but only shows the first 100 on the page and all those were today but there must be a lot more. I can only imagine how many were sold at the $16.50 price in the past few hours. A lot of money will be lost by this seller. Well over $5000 lost wouldn't be improbable.

        • +1

          200 x $16.5 = $3,300

          200 x $46.5 = $9,300

          yeah its a lot

        • +1

I was going by the $30 lost on every sale. Multiple that by a few hundred sales is a lot of lost money even for a power seller. Total of 346 sold on the ebay auction.

        • Worst case scenario:

All 346 sold were all due to pricing error, each item sold is $30 lost, therefore:

          $30 x 346 = $10380 in total lost.

        • +1

Yeah i'm sure an ebay seller running off small margains could cough up a $10k loss on one auction.

        • +3

seller on ebay put the price up is not a panic act, it is common act by ebay seller to kept their posting in top 5 (keyword searching) when they out of stock or some other reason. but $16.50 is too good to be true price. oh well, let see what the seller will do next

        • edit

  • +2

    It's only $149.50 LOL

  • Best game in the last 5 years imho

    • It's the best game in the last EVER.
You ask anyone. It's not my favourite game, but it's hands down best game in terms of design, innovation, gameplay, and story.

AND GWAFFICKS, HUEHUEHUEHUEHUE! If that really matters, here in the 21st century.

      • -2

Innovation? What did TLOU innovate in? It's like Uncharted in that it does nothing that other games haven't done, and it just wows people with its presentation. The gameplay is pedestrian, there's no innovation, and the story is been there done that.

I didn't even get halfway through before I put it away. The much hyped "advanced AI" was nothing more than scripted paths like every other game, made all the worse by the immersion breaking moments when your friendly AI just wander around the enemies who pay no attention to them by design.

        • It looks and feels like a red dead redemption but in a city and zombies. It didn't feel all that innovative for me either.

  • +1

Oh well the seller has ended the listing with the reason item is no longer available and with the 3 remaining was still available at the time. Final listing price was $49.50. Let's see what the seller does next.

I wonder if the seller is panicking right now trying to figure what to do. Hundreds of potential negative feedbacks. That could ruin an ebay seller.

    • lol internet drama

      not bad value for $16.50

      • If any one's actually getting it. Clearly a pricing error.

        We will see.

        • +1

          I don't think we'll see shit

I've got a paypal receipt but he hasn't sent me an invoice yet.

          That's a warning sign.
