Looks like you missed the recent Sennheiser RS170 deal…

      • no more headphones or earphones until the last one dies :)

    • +2

I'd go for CotD's Sennheiser RS160s at $100+delivery - circumaural, Australian stock, statutory warranty with 2 years manufacturer warranty.

      • The RS160 is twice better than RS120 IMO.

        • +2

and at $110 delivered they are roughly twice as expensive too…

        • It probably cost you over $100 to send it back for repair. You need to pay for both ways shipping to HK.

        • +2

well, with headphones there's diminishing marginal returns…so paying double for something that is twice as good represents a pretty good gain! ;)

        • You need to pay for both ways shipping to HK.

Unlike eGlobal, CotD is an Australia reseller (hence statutory warranty).

At CotD price, buy two (as I did) - for mum and dad when kids are having a play-over, or worse, sleep-over. Up to 4 can be connected to single transmitter. Plus, transmitter can be powered by PSP USB power-cable.

        • I would argue that the RS120 represent better value at these prices, especially since the RS160 don't have on-base recharging.

And the RS120 sound pretty excellent, especially at this price. I bought them for $123 on Boxing Day a year and a half ago and thought I'd scored a bargain then. At $61 - it's an absolute steal.

The RS160 have advantages of course to justify the higher price. Specifically, no compression / lossless transmission, no static, closed cups (low leakage for use in a bedroom) and a portable base.

EDIT: As far as the local warranty goes, both models are workhorses and don't break unless you really abuse them.

        • especially since the RS160 don't have on-base recharging

Box includes a splitter power-cable - it can be used to simultaneously charge rechargeable batteries inside the headphone and power the transmitter (for use with other headphones mated with the transmitter).

I own a quality charger (as every OzBargainer should), so, would swap AA batteries in the headphone rather than bother with its built-in charger.

both models are workhorses and don't break unless you really abuse them.

nothing is broken until it breaks.

    • same im starting to pile them up and yet im still buying these…!

Will these have AU plug pn the PSU?

  • Good price.

  • Does there has some coupon code of this website? I try to use the wb10 and EGLFRND5, but it is not useful…

  • expired - it shows 91AUD now

    • +4

I think that's because the $50 off comes at the review stage, so the overall price is $60 when you factor in shipping.

  • +1

You have to select paypal for payment option then $50 will be deducted. Select economy postage and total payable is $60. Great price for good headphone.

  • I've read really bad customer reviews of the merchant. I almost bought another set of cans from them, but changed my mind after reading the terrible reviews - I would love to be proven wrong, as they do have very good prices. Anyway, here';s a pretty decent review of the phones in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpXVPGoGAxo

    • I bought a reasonably high end Canon lens from them and had no issues. But then it's only one order I guess.

  • Great price. Had these for about 3 years, no complaints.

  • Adds another $30 in postage saying I live in regional area :(

    • you got whole lots of other benefits in regional area

  • I get to the log in to Paypal stage and it's still $111.

    • click Green Checkout button then select Paypal as payment option.

      Dont use "Checkout with Paypal".

      Confusing eh!

  • I went part way through this process 3 times, stopping short each time because to me it didn't show correctly… I finally let it go through to paypal (mine showed $91), logged in and then click ok to leave Paypal and got redirected back to the eGlobal complete transaction page where I got $91 - $50 = $41 (plus $19.82 postage to my location) for a total of $60.82 (as per OP) - I then logged into my paypal account seperately and confirmed that only $60.82 was charged.

The OPs link will take you to the front page where the status of this offer shows as On-Going! (as at time of this post).

    • I don't log in to Paypal anymore hoping that the figure will correct to the amount I'm hoping for. I've wasted days on the phone trying to cancel transactions where it hasn't.

Especially in light of the warning from the seller above.

Although I may just be confused.

  • I just upgraded from these, but they served me really well for a couple of years (until I sat on them and the headband broke). It's a really good price.

For me the main difference from this and the higher end / newer Sennheiser wireless headphones is the analog vs digital transmission. You occasionally get a little hiss from these if you have things giving interference nearby. I hid my transmitter behind the TV though, so had no line of sight. This should be easily fixed if you get the issue by moving the transmitter.

    • +1

yes, from my experience with analogue wireless, i would strongly suggest the Sennheiser digital wireless range using Kleer audio (RS-160/RS-170/RS-180). or the RS-220 using DSSS, if you want to go all out!

  • +1

Just bought one. Paid with Paypal. With insured postage to Melbourne it is $60.80.

    Thanks for the post.

  • Will these work with the PS4?

  • +1

I remember these dudes now- startlingly low item price then gobsmacking postage.

  • Expired !!!

  • Seller requires a landline number from you, states they may call the landline to confirm order. A problem if you have no landline or are never home. May hold up the order, so I quit. Btw 'Express Paypal checkout' isn't actually. Still need to stuff around filling out their form if you want to send goods to one of your alternative shipping addresses.

    • Just enter random number that you know the prefix of
      eg Melbs, Richmond 039428XXXX

  • No longer available, I guess they reached the 90 maximum sales.

  • Just got email

"We are sorry that Sennheiser RS120 II On-Ear Wireless Home Cinema / HiFi Headphones have ordered is sold out of stock. would like to ask you would you mind changing to another model as we have no estimated time of delivery, so we can be able to continue with your order. Please kindly confirm back by email. Thank you."

    Replied asking what model…

    • Hmmm hope I dont get that too.
This was a PayPal offer. Seems odd that they stuffed up their stock numbers. I would be fine so long as the $50 discount carries over.
If not contact PayPal because I think they contributed to the sale IE its a partnered promotional deal.

    • Probably ask them the higher model without extra cost ?

  • I have got my headphone. Very quick delivery time.

    • Mine is still processing>>>>

  • Spoke to them via chat.
Yesterday it was "your order will be picked up by our courier within two hours"
Now its "we apologize for the delay as the stock is arriving on 17/6
once stock arrives we shall dispatch your order immediately"

Then they tried to tell me that the other stock had got "damaged" and that was the problem.
Hmmm hope you are in no hurry.
