  • Still haven't received mine, ordered Monday night.
Spent 40 mins on hold trying to get through to them yesterday, so sent e-mail last night. Still no reply..

WHAT IS GOING ON OW??!! I need a coffee!!

  • I suppose the deal is over. The link does not work any more.

  • When I go to the link I'm getting an error: "Sorry… Something went wrong with the page you were looking for."

    I'm using this link:

Just checked the online catalogue and can't see it. Can you provide a link/photo?

        • +1

Would post the pic if I could? Actually it's the same as the op's. Was instore on sat guy said the offer has started too early and they made a mistake. But. On again this Thursday

  • What bogstation said was also said to me. Its in the TAX catalog. That is why they were not available online last week then got removed, just took time for staff to catch up and move stock from shelves.

I picked up 1 this morning from Nunawading, they had 2 left + demo, that was at around 11:30.
    Chirnside Park,VIC (ph 03 9727 7300) had listed 11? in stock WHEN I called at 9:30 today.

This sale is a clearance and was told no more will be ordered.

Good luck on the hunt and thank you to theearth for the post, I always kept missing out on these deals.

    My Mix was:
    S/O x40
    F/T x40
    Prt x 10
Dc x20 = aahhh dont want/too many decaf - what should I do? I wont use them, sell on ebay?
    Ven x10
    Mil x20

P.S Does anyone know where to get a cheap ($20-25) milk frother from?, as I couldnt find that $20 Coles one that was mention by someone around here.

Anyone in Sydney want to offload some decaf capsules? I didn't get any in my box, but would like some, so happy to swap for caffeinated ones. Send me a PM if you're interested.

    mick

  • Would it make much difference in which flavor I use to make a cappuccino?, as thats all I drink.
Has anyone tried all of them as a cappuccino?, or which flavor should I use?

    Cheers

    • Coffee is coffee enjoy them all as a cappuccino, I do :)

      • Thanks, just wasnt sure if if there was any flavors to avoid when making a cino.

I got the milk frother that mick01 pointed out. Its a good size for me, not big like some.
It looks/feels decent, will test it tomorrow.
2 shops in Knox (HS & Kmart) were sold out of frothers, Ozbargained?,lol

I'll most likely sell my decaf pods (x20) on ebay in the next few weeks, unless someone is interested?
So I can buy other flavors.

        cheers,

Bought 2 of these (one for home one for work), one works great, other one was faulty. Thought I would only get a refund at Officeworks, but when I asked if there was any stock to exchange with, they said they had some more stock in other stores (in WA, Midland, East Perth, Oconnor that I can remember).

When I picked one up from the Oconnor store, they said the stock had only come in today. So if you missed out, it looks like they are still scanning as the same price and more stock is on its way if not there already.

    • Hi,

What was the fault?, I'm yet to use mine.
Hoping it a very small amount of faulty units.

How many people have found faults with theirs OR are not happy with it?
      Keen to know.

  • had mine over a week - runs sweet - MAP pods tasty
i reprogrammed Long button to be extra long
had flashing red light once turned out to be a faulty pod

bought another 1 owing to great value
still available online only free delivery

  • Just made my first cino with the bellini milk frother (Target $25). All in all a good result.
Now to fine tune how much milk to froth and water to use to make a decent cino.

On the frother I filled to the min line, seems close enough to make 1 cuppa. Its also quiet to use, unlike the machine (but only for a few secs). It did a great job at making froth.

If I wasnt buying a speaker for my PC, I would buy another unit, keep pods and sell on ebay, oh well..

Any how thanks again for this post and helpful comments.

    cheers,

  • Finally got around to testing out the machine. That aluminium plate on the cup base is not a good design. It vibrates when the machine is running, and the cup moves around and could spill or tip over easily!

I have to hold the cup above the base while operating.

    • When I pulled out the pod catcher and pushed back in it didn't feel like a secure fit, but got it seated firmly after a couple attempts. With my unit it seems ok & it held a medium size cup with no problems, but only made 2 coffees so far. I also applied some pressure to it and felt stable.

Yeah the metal plate could be improved upon. It looks like a few others have had your issue.

I do wish the milk frother was able to handle powder mix (hot choc/drinks,etc) as well, but the manual states only to use milk.
I'm sure some have advertise that they can do this as well.

Now I need to find a small (up to 300-400? ml/single serve) measuring jug, most I seen are too big.

      • Wait.. you have a frother with your unit?

        • read the post above it…..

  • Just walked in to Bundoora OW and they have plenty of stock on the end cap. Probably 7 left. Box of capsuals below.

Big sign $59 for machine and 140 capsules.

    Go get 'em !

  • Just got one at Glebe (NSW) for $59 with the pods. Pretty happy with it after running a couple of empty runs and then a few decaf through to remove the plastic taste.

  • has anyone been able to get any today (mon 16th)? really need one for my partner! sydney area…

  • I'm still so stoked about my new coffee pod machine and considering this thread is still alive, I guess fellow ozbargainers are too. I think this is the best deal I've picked up from this site so kudos to the OP and Mick for telling us about the frother from Target.

So after a week I'd like to point out a few things.

    1. Love it
    2. Yes the vibrations seem to move the mug a little. Keep an eye on it!
    3. That frother is a great buy but doesn't seem to hold enough milk for even 1 drink in heat and froth mode?

Due to point 3, I nuke the milk, pour some into the frother and use it on non-heating mode. A bit purpose defeating but at least I get the right amount of froth and milk that way. Others find the same?

Anyone else has a leaking water tank after pouring in water?

    • i do

  • Bought one over phone yesterday delivered same day in Brisbane - Can't fault OW service.
First thoughts are that quality is poor and machine is temperamental, but I think it is logical that you get what you pay for. Coffee tastes great though.
Metal tray rattles a lot and tips back, my mug did fall backwards yesterday with hot coffee in it, luckily just saved it but beware, but probably best to hold the cup as it could be pretty dangerous!
This morning, second use of machine - it malfunctioned with flashing red lights and no coffee coming through. Water tank is full so can't be that. Giving it a rest. Will try again tomorrow, third time lucky.

    • Machine seems to be behaving last 2 days, but i'm thinking the coffee pods in this deal are deffo more valuable than machine (though i love it for being a bargain)

  • Just bought one online. Lucky I checked back.

Can we use other capsules on this thing? Which ones?

    • Caffitaly.

    • +2

Basically any capsules showing the MAPS or Caffitaly branding.

These include: Bewley's, Blu Caffè, Caffè Cagliari, Cabrales, CBTL, Chicco d'Oro, Cloetta, Crem Caffè, Dallmayr, Dualit, Fortaleza, Ecaffè, EduScho, Gloria Jean's, Map Italian Coffee, Woolworths, Julius Meinl, Kobbs, Löfbergs, Pingo Doce, Tchibo, Peter Larsen, Stratco.

Note: Aldi coffee capsules do fit this and other MAPS/Caffitaly machines BUT … they do not have filters and can damage the machines and should NOT be used. Aldi 'milk' capsules can be used as none of these use filters.

      • Awesome info/research Red, this will save me time later when I get bored of the easy to get flavors.

So far I'm happy my unit, no issues (touch wood) & no buyer remorse.

Looks like all gone in VIC?

P.S Anyone know of any small (100 - 150ml) measuring cup worth getting (kinda accurate/not over priced)?

I ask because when I checked mine its small cup amount it was close to like 50ml,not 30ml?
        Anyone else checked theirs?

        cheers

  • my second one arrived and came with two boxes of pods!!! (280) stoked - this also happened to a mate I told - he got two boxes of pods as well! thank you again OP and thankyou OW!

    • which state are you in?
curious if there's a pattern with the double box recipients.

      • Brizzy QLD

        • aw. I didn't get double (brizzie also).

          I'm jelly.

  • Still available online with free delivery I ordered one yesterday (Sunday) and received it this afternoon (Monday).

    • Link pls

        • That's what i found, "unavailable online". Thanks anyway.

        • It's still available. Ordered one yesterday and got it today. Are you using your mobile to browse? If yes, try it on your desktop/laptop as it still shows available online. I checked just now.

        • If you click complete order it will bring you back to your cart says out of stock. Thanks again for your efforts.

          http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/ProductDisplay?storeId=10… - deal updated :)

How many times I have to tell you not to touch my post?

Now I can't even edit my own post thanks to some of arrogant mods and the people like you here.

          Thanks

          Now I am in peace.

you never have - indeed, a reply was never received to the pm i sent you about this deal :(

          Now I am in peace.

          RIP? :)

a reply was never received to the pm i sent you about this deal

same thing happened to me, theearth never replied

        • +3

          Wow you're pathetic, theearth.

  • It may depend on which state you are trying to order it. I am in Melbourne.

    • same - can checkout to payment :)

    • LOL. well I guess WA is just another country by OW definition.

  • Umm.. what does blinking red light mean? I didn't do anything different to it like the preview few times I've used it. This is I think my 4th coffee since buying the machine. After the coffee poured out it blinked red.

  • yep I have had blinking red a couple of times on bothe of my machines - to me it looks like every now and again you may get a faulty pod that does not pierce properly - to resolve this I dump the pod and cycle power to the unit. Pretty sure it's the pod and not the machine.

    • note - also flashes RED if out of water!!

  • Ordered now (delivery) without problems. VIC.

  • Sold out online again.

  • Ordered another batch as my partner liked it and she actually wants some decaf. However, pack arrived today and lots of origin like the first one with no decaf. Anybody in Adelaide wants to swap their decaf with origin? Let me know.
