81

As the title states, purchase the Microsoft Lifecam VX800 from JB Hi-Fi for $5, claim 30% cash back on RRP which is normally $24.95 and get cashback of $7.49 = $2.49 profit. Use your $2.50 for something off the small change menu at MacDonalds. Will depend on stock in-store. Not available Online

For anyone even interested in the webcam the specs are here:
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-ph/p/lifecam-vx-800
If your to lazy to look at the spec page all you need to know is that it's VGA.

For me I'd probably use it to monitor my cat throughout the day.

Just a really old basic model. It's only 0.31 megapixel (meaning heck it's not even half a megapixel sensor). Not a very good webcam. Though it's a bit crap.

      • Have you used one? I have. The picture is quite decent for a vga pickup. They include a mic and they are a driverless install, so they make a decent budget Skype cam.

Must be in an instore only deal. There is no add to cart button on the product page.

  • In store only I think.

Would be a bit hit and miss having to go the actual store to find if it's even in stock. Being a really old model there's a likely chance it was sold out a long time ago.

LOL the JB Hi-Fi page that the OP quoted must be a redundant page left over from yonks ago. I'd say the Lifecam VX800 webcam was sold out probably years ago. Looks like this is no deal.

The only Lifecam camera that shows on up the JB site search is the Lifecam HD-3000. The VX series was phased out ages ago. Even the VX-7000 model is 7 years old and hadn't been sold at retail chains in some time. And yet the basic VX-800 model is even older.

In other words this deal is a dud because it doesn't really exist well not from JB. Have to neg vote under that grounds.

I suggest the OP should do some research on the item availability before posting a deal.

        • It has the new Microsoft logo on the top right so it might be a active page.

That means nothing those banners auto update. Besides i very much doubt the VX-800 webcam is in stock at any store being such an old model that retailers actually stopped selling them years ago.

Do a search for Microsoft Lifecam in the JB Hi-Fi site search and you'll find the only result is the Microsoft Lifecam HD-3000 webcam. Meaning that's the only Lifecam camera that's available for purchase. The VX-800 is not even recognised as a valid product in the search. Not an active product.

    • Good try but no. Max of 3 claims per person.

"Each person may make up to 3 claims to receive the offer. A separate claim must be registered for each individual Product purchased."

      • Ha ha … he will need find 200 person to do it for him.

        • +1

          TIL 200 / 3 = 200

        • I think your maths are off. 200 people could make 600 claims since it's 3 claims per person. But if you have that many friends. Also a case of being able to find 600 units in stock. But that won't happen as this webcam model is ancient and i doubt any JB store has it in stock any more. It would be like trying to find a museum piece at a retailer.

  • So did any one get any of these Lifecam VX800 webcams from any JB store by now?. I'm thinking not.
