  • Wow this is cheap!
Can anyone advise that, I am running a rum DDR3 2GB, Samsung brand (I guess doen't matter?), PC3-10700 (667 MHz), will this Crucial with different speed (1333 MHz) fit into my laptop and make it 4 GB?
In my memory Yes as long as they are DDR3, but just want to confirm before getting one.
    Thanks.

Will default to lower speed if compatible.

      • how to know if it is compatible then?

        • Don't quote me on this.

For laptops high density vs. low density is (or maybe was) a big compatibility issue. It relates to the capacity of each chip on the memory module, more chips means low density, less chips means high density. I think low density is the more compatible of the two, and performs better. Unfortunately most never specify what the module is so it is often a gamble.

The last memory upgrade I did ran into this issue, because they didn't specify the density of memory on the site I based it on the picture which turned out to be wrong anyway.

For compatibility it is also useful to list the model of laptop you are trying to upgrade. Since you are running 2Gb of v-slow memory, is it a netbook?

        • Is a notebook, 4 years ago lol.
2GB is really slow at most of the time.
          Regardless, I bought one already.

      @chonghe

PC3-10600, PC3-10660, PC3-10666 and PC3-10700 are all the same speed.

Just different naming conventions used by different manufacturers because of how they round off 10666⅔.

  • Ah excellent, this deal is back. Well done Mr Arse.
Did you work out if this is low voltage IE 1.35v capable?
Couldn't find the info last time.

      Hi King.

Did you work out if this is low voltage IE 1.35v capable?

According to this ad on eBay, yes (1.35v & 1.50v). Then again, what would I know :)

      • Hmmm well it should be OK if that eBay ad is accurate.
Its weird how hard it was to find info on this - could just be me (almost certain) lol.
This is great, first the SSD and now the RAM, that NUC is getting close.

  • i wish it is 4gb

  • Cheapest RAM on the market.

    Thanks ordered one.

Strangely it gave me "1 x HP ENVY TouchSmart 4-1121TU (C8B59PA)Touch Screen Ultrabook New Years Sale @ $668.00 ea" after I paid. At bottom, it says "Order History 01/01/1970 - 10:00:00am: Order Placed, 08/02/2014 - 12:30:01am: Cancelled".

    The emails are correct though.

    • Same here. Paid using PayPal express.

  • Thanks tightarse! just the boost my little laptop needed :)

  • Bought 2 for my Asrock Q1900B-ITX board. This is exactly 50% off MSY's price. Sweet!

    • Is it a laptop?

Edit, it does have 2 SO-DIMM Slots. Didn't know that.

      • Yeah. Building a fanless HTPC with Bay Trail Atom. Well, the last piece I need is a ITX case with fanless PSU.

  • Just got one! Great price :)

  • Nice find - bought two - now I can see if 4gb is better than 3gb
