  • re-furbished??

  • Interesting site.

Has anyone bought from them before?

  • Sounds like a model many years ago. And think about the price in HT yesterday, though I got nothing.

  • Their About Us page claims "All of the products you can buy onsite are brand-new and first quality."

Please note that all Computers are re-furbished unless otherwise noted

  • I saw this site advertisement on tv, so I thought they are good.

  • Quite ok if you are running MS Office 2003 or similar programs.

  • This is pretty old model - around 2004/5. Great laptop during its time but you probably want to upgrade memory to 2GB and swap the hard disk to something bigger like 160GB. By then you probably better spend on one of the Celeron/Sempron models for around $500-600 (may be with rebate).

    • Agreed,, yes they were a good, robust corporate use laptop IN THEIR DAY.
But, one of these has had a LOT of use over the years and we all know that corporate deployed laptops are generally treated with the same manner of user-care as are fleet vehicles…
In my last job we refreshed a tonne of these at EOL (3 years) a couple of years ago, so they've been round the clock a few times by now and have accumulated many thousands of hours of display "on" time.
As they're refurb'ed, they presumably carry some type of limited warranty at least, but IMHO, caveat emptor.

      Live Long and Prosper,
      Jean-Luc.

    • I had a D600 which is very similar to D610, and it's the worst Latitude I ever had (working in a software company for many years that use exclusively Dell, I've had many Latitudes over the years)… But then it still beats those cheap Compaq's and Acer's :)

  • I had this 4 years ago, got upgrade to 620 for the last 3 years and the 620 now runs like a dog with 3GB ram 7200RPM disk. Great for the retired who can wait! - No I won't go near this.

no bargain here. this is the average price for D610's on ebay.
vennmann, as I mentioned in your other post, you need to post true bargains on this site. A bit of price comparison research before posting would be wise.

    • Hey, but it has "Strike Zone" :)

D610 has Intel Centrino 1.73ghz. 2004/2005. For $360 it's expensive, considering you can get a dual-celeron with faster HDD:

    15.6" $599 (after $100 cashback) CQ60-210TU T1600-1.66 2GB 160GB
