  • Are you an authorized dealer of DLink, and is it Australian stock?

    • +2

Yes, we are a premium dealer of D-Link, and thats Local stock, so that you can claim the $50 cash back from them.

  • +1

You are charging a $2.78 handling fee with paypal. Bit unusual, normally don't get charged a handling fee with paypal.

    • That's the fee charge by Paypal to us, we trying to do the deal as cheap as possible to benefit most customer. so the handling fee need to be charged. Sorry

      • Not sure what doing "the deal as cheap as possible" means when I am the one who pays and you slug me for the fees. I think you meant to say: Passing on the costs of doing business to you to maintain margin. That I understand.

Hopefully this works as a chicken coop monitor with temp sensor and built in lullabies for added egg production.

        • To be honest, we already selling at a lost, and if you can find anyone willing to have a bigger lost, go for it. We don't mind :)
However, you do have a option that not to using Paypal

        • I quite like the option not to invisibly subsidise such a prick of a company as PayPal.

  • Rep, could you please let me know how to use the notification? via email or how?
you've mentioned above there is notification send to mobile, how?
because when I compare to other dlink camera there is no email notification so before I buy, I need to know how the device notify when there is a sound or movement?

    THanks.

    • The notification work thought smart phone apps, e.g. it will show up on your phone when the cam detected sound or movement.
But D-Link Baby cam do not offer email notification…

      • I see thanks.

        • Not a problem.
I do using one myself, feel free to come to our shop and I can show you how it works.

        • Rep, sorry, I am not in Sydney but i do want to know more.
I read the review and the google app review said badly about the app.

Try the latest app 5 June from google app store or apple if you use apple.

          Questions:
          1. Can I monitor or view from outside the house (or office)?
          2. Can I listen and talk from the office (two way communications)?
          3. When you try viewing from the office to your home, does it lag? or from within your home or within the office (if you use this for your office)?
          4. Do you need to reconnect or login or search device all the time? got this a lot from the review.

Any other issue(s) that you have experienced?

A bit worried after I've done further research about this device.

          Thanks.

          Hi,

I'll try my best to answer all your question:

          1) Yes you can monitor it anywhere in the world as long as your Baby Cam connected to Internet via your WiFi network, and your phone/tablet connected to the internet.
          2) Yes it support 2 way communication, but you may experience a bit lag.
          3) It will be better when you both in the same Network. But its acceptable for the monitoring outside my home. You looking at about 1 sec lag.
          4) It only happen in Android device before, but after their last update it work for me so far.

Its being more stable since last update, at least for my phone, I'm using Samsung S3 with custom ROM.

  • How is the device powered ?

    • The Cam come with and powered by an 5V MicroUSB AC adapter.
You can also use an External phone battery to power it up.

  • I just ordered one via Paypal, as a guest customer.

I received a Paypal email receipt but no email notification from your store saying my order was confirmed (as I would expect).

Is this normal? Has my order been processed?

    Thanks.

    • Yes that's mean the order is under process from paypal.
And then after our sales receive the order, you will get an confirmation email.

  • Cheers OP :)

  • Had one of this last time when JB Hi-fi had their 40% off, worked out slightly cheaper than this deal.

    • Yes 40 cents cheaper.

Mine was marked posted and a tracking number sent so pretty good so far.

    • mine delivered to my house this morning.
Very fast delivery. Ordered on Friday Midnight, sent on Monday, received today.(Melbourne)
Now doing the Cash back =)

      • How are you finding it? Hows the response time/lag when you are on the same network (at home) ?

  • Brief test:
setting up with a galaxy s3 was a pain as you need to use the app, and the app doesn't work out of the box. After ringing support they advised that you need to connect wirelessly to the babycam first before using the app, which it neglects to tell you, and android phones need a change in wireless settings to connect to ad hoc networks, so not intuitive at all. But working now. I believe IOS is easier.

Anyway, after that all went ok. Image looks clear with IR on, so not really colourful, but that is ok for me. On same network set at 360p, very little lag. Set on 720p, some lag. On mobile network, some lag, but that is to be expected in my book.

I am just exploring the capabilities at the moment. I can see the video on my phone whilst at work, but unsure how to review files saved when motion detection is triggered.
