  • Merged from $1.139 ULP 91 Metro Petroleum RESERVOIR

Cheap petrol $1.139 per L. Drove back from St Kilda cheapest seen. Few min wait to get in line.

    139-141 Spring St, Reservoir.
Sorry didnt take photo and cant remenber cost of the other types.

Sorry if post doesn't meet criteria or anything.

    • Filled up at $1.12 the other day… No deal. Belongs in the fuel forums…

      • Actually, I got the $10 AMEX rebate, so it worked out at approx. 84 cents per litre…

    • +1

Now i know for next time, thanks

  • 139.9 in Box hill Vic

  • Merged from Unleaded Petrol 119.9c BP Petrol Station Springvale Rd Cnr Burwood Hwy Vic

      • yep

      • Yes not a bargain

    • +2

$116.1 at Dayef petrol station, Maidstone

    • Still $1.15 to $125 in my area

      • +9

        That's an extreme range..

    • +1

Standard price cycle - no deal here. Woolies has ULP for 116.9 in Bulleen & 116.7 at Blackburn Nth at the moment. They should all be 139.9 by day's end!

    • +1

      What's the 'price cycle'?
Is it to do with time of day / day of the week etc?

      • yes, price hike up and slowly goes down over a period of time. Last cycle last 50 days in Sydney.

    • Just filled up metro Melbourne. $1.16, less 4c for 6l milk at $6, less $4c for docket, then less 5% for egift card.

    • +2

I think no deal listed, next time probably post in the forums

    • Haven't been monitoring the cycle recently and the wesbites are crap (never show day/time of data on the main ones). I know it was cheap before Easter and was high yesterday (139c near me). Are the other ones going up to that price or coming down to ~116c now?

    • Normal price cycle. Also $1.159 at Epping VIC 7/11.

    • +1

Waits for PJC to strike at this post…

    • +1

Already gone up to $1.39 about 20 minutes ago… :(

    • +2

115.9 @ Woolies Patters Lakes, Springvale
116.7 @ Woolies Seaford, Carrum Downs, Braeside

Prices before 4c fuel docket discount (from Woolies fuel app).

BTW, you can search for best prices using https://motormouth.com.au/. Still plenty including BP, Liberty, etc. at the bottom of the cycle prices ;)

    • Motormouth seems like an ok app for me

    • +1

You can always find better price using 7-11 fuel locker APP(mocking GPS) unless you have BP giftcards from AMEX deal.

    • +1

Filled up for 117.9 today (-4 cents from Woolies took it to 113.9)

    • +1

This price cycle stuff is so bizarre. It doesn't exist in any other country I've ever been to apart from Australia. I tried to find out what caused it after moving here last July but didn't have the right terminology until someone just mentioned it above. Seems like it's all just a big con. I've lived in the UK and NZ and spent a lot of time in other countries and it doesn't happen there.

  • Merged from ULP 119.9 at Metro McKinnon

Fuel still up to 20c cheaper here as everywhere else he gone to 139.9 ! metro McKinnon selling ULP for 119.9.
Even better spend $10 in store and get 10cents per litre immediately.

    • +1

Costco Moorabbin is still priced @ 114.7 / 129..7 (U98) so for those that have membership (and are not far) its still cheaper here.

  • 91 still 115.9 at United Broadmeadows :-)

  • unleaded 91 148.xx in boxhill 3128 today

    • Really? 148.xx?

  • Merged from Unleaded Petrol 109.9 @ BP Bell Street (Coburg VIC)

Seems to be 114.X everywhere else I've driven passed, so thought I'd share.

    • Was 110 everywhere last night except coles express. I filled at caltex pascolevale to use the $20 vourche. But i do beleive this will be end of the price cycle, better fill up ASAP.

    • On the otherside of Bell St, 7-11 was that y'day, so i locked it in.

Mouthmotor says the Woolies up the road from BP is 110.7 (so 106.7 with a docket)

    • -3

      I Just locked in 119.9 for 98 in Sydney….
      No deal

      • BP at Auburn Sydney was 109.7 since this Monday.

        • For 98?

      • +1

why do you NSW people always do this? The title clearly says Coburg VIC…..what you get in NSW is irrelevant. This is a PSA to help locals in the area.

        The correct answer would be.
Thanks for the heads up OP! really appreciate it!

    • +1

Lake Macquarie, NSW … a lot of 101.9s, 101.7s and heaps of 119.9s and up to 129.9c/L … all for E10.

Highlight, is at Swansea Caltex Star Mart at 100.9c/L.

Western side of the lake has Fennell Bay Metro at 111.7c/L.

    • -4

No deal used to be 35cents a litre in the 70s ….. How full will Oz bargain get when every petrol deal is listed …there are sites that do nothing but petrol pricing.

Click n collect now that would be disruptive for petrol prices or rain checks ….

      • +3

Apologies for the inconvenience caused to you.

      • +1

You do realise that back in the 70's wages were also different?
Petrol Spy is good for finding local best prices, I regularly save 30c lt on local servo prices.
Cheap petrol is always a bargain.. :-)

    • For anyone in the area, 98.7 for E10 and 102.7 for U91 at Caltex Woolworths Woodville Road, Guildford NSW at the moment

      • +2

Saw three stations under $1 in Adelaide western suburbs yesterday. Just saying.

      • +1

        98.7 for E10 and 102.7 for U91

yep same @ Bankstown if you feel like getting shot before the EOFY.

    • -6

Been under 105 in SA for the last week…

      • +1

This is in Victoria, where it hasn't been 105 for a week.

      • I'm sure it's been a lot cheaper in the UAE as well, but little benefit for Victorians.

  • Merged from Petrol 102.90 Unleaded (100.90 E10), Metro Petroleum, 291 Nicholson St, Carlton (VIC)

    Uploaded image

Once again Metro has the cheapest petrol in Melbourne @ 102.90 (price accurate as of 4am Friday). Normal price is currently around $1.29/L. The United petrol station a short distance down Nicholson St. has it at 106.90, presumably to remain competitive with Metro. Station is on the corner of Nicholson and Princes St. - about 2km from the CBD - and usually offers cheap fuel late at night (haven't passed by during the day so not sure). Pumps are very fast unlike many newer stations. Sorry for poor quality image (from car dashcam).

    • -7

      E10 = no deal imo.

      • +2

Read the title. Non-E10 is 103c. Normal price is 130c. I'd say 20% off is an amazing bargain, when most stations only differ in price by a few cents.

        • +4

This is what happens when you start early. My bad.

Feel free to neg me lower than an ant with no legs.

    • +2

ooooh - if I had only seen this 30 minutes ago - just filled up using 7 Eleven app @ 106.9 ….. ahhh well….

    • If anyone uses gas I can provide it for free

      • I got mine in Islington (Newcastle) (91) for 97.3 cents last night.

    • Drove past at 9am to work, it was 109.9c for 91. So i think it maybe slightly more during the day, still a great price however.

      • The Metro near me in NSW changes their prices down by 10 cents after a certain time in the evening, so this may be the case in some other Metro service stations.

      • Down to 99.90 for E10, 101.90 for U/L at 3am Saturday.

    • Down to 100.90/98.90 at 10pm Wednesday night. A new record low. Quite a long queue of cars. Unfortunately this station doesn't sell 98 though - which means I can't fill up my Mustang there. But my other car takes 91 so very happy!

  • Merged from Coles Express - $1.129/L unleaded 91 - High St & Oneills Rd, Melton VIC 3337

    Hi All,

With the average price of unleaded (91) of $1.429…this is possibly the lowest price in Melton. Maybe even better if you have a Coles fuel discount voucher and or with the Flybuys offer.

Don't know how long it'll stay at that price for…

    Happy fueling everyone.

Edit: moving the decimal point of the price to reflect the right value.

    • Im not near the area. But for the first time in human existence.

This evening my coles petrol was 114 whilst the safeway petrol across the road was 142.

Usually coles is always first to raise their prices!

I almost crashed the car :)

    • Shell express Box Hill North was the same price this noon

    • average price of 91 for ~142.9???? r u kidding me?

My local Petrol station is selling it for 110

located at Spring St Metro Petroleum. and its even cheaper after 9.30PM everyday for E10-91-98 almost 5-10 cent off

      • I did mentioned the average and the lowest in Melton didn't I?

    • Not exactly a bargain, seems like this place is just at the bottom of the price cycle.

    • United petrol station in Croydon had it for 109.9

    • +2

      $112 a litre???

      • Im in the wrong industry if they can sell petrol at $112 a litre. Dont they mean 112 cents a litre. Or $1.12 cents a litre?

      • Fixed…hehehe

    • Woolworths 111.9 plus 4c off plus egiftcard

    • obviously each state is different, but I noticed that 1/3 of this morning the petrol stations on my side of town jump to 140s

as of an hour ago, maybe 3/4 are 140s, so obviosuly theyre all about to follow,
      hence why I filled up

    • Start of the school holidays, so to be expected. I drove along Stud Road this evening - most are at 142c, although the Coles was 111c. I suspect they'll all be up at the 140+ mark by tomorrow.

    • My local here $1.08 hehe

    • Melton… so this deal will benefit like 6 people

      • I'm #2. Melton Represent!

      • I think that there are more than 6 Ozbargainers lives within Melton! ;;)

    • Caltex in Camberwell junction (Victoria) was 113.9 today. Was actually 140 the day before but suddenly dropped today (Saturday) for no reason.

    • Most places in Sydney are $1.10 to $1.15 range. Cheapest seems to be the Metro Bonnyrigg at $0.999/L. I guess since Melbourne has the cycle going up that Sydney may not be far off?

    • +1

Found this site which looks useful. Still a couple of green pumps around Melbourne, but mostly red.

    • Coles Express Glen Waverley (corner Ferntree Gully Road/Springvale Road) ULP price 114.9 tonight.

    • Shell in Ashburton Vic are $1.14 but expect price to go up tomorrow. Noticed Shell in Punt Rd south of Swan st. Richmond was same low price. Two other Shell outlets were 139.9c

  • Merged from Unleaded $1.197/L, Premium $1.307/L at Caltex Woolworths Braeside VIC

Supercheap petrol at Caltex Braeside VIC in Boundary Road. Unleaded $1.197, Premium $1.307. FTW.

Nearby servos still selling $1.37. I just filled up full tank with premium, bloody turbo.

    • +1

Apparently, the low prices are due to Costco being at Moorabbin Airport.

Don't forget Woolworths Everyday gift card for 5% off and supermarket docket $0.04 off

      • Yes, it's good they compete, it's usually +4c more expensive than whatever Costco is. But then annoyingly in the evening they raise it up to same price as all the other servos in the area.

  • Merged from [Melbourne] 59.9 Gas @ United Altona.

Hi,just found gas @59.9 nice deal since it is around 69.9 in rest of fule pump.Address is 650-662 Kororoit Road, Altona North,Vic 3025.

  • Just out of interest, over the last decade or so 'from memory', LP Gas pump prices in Oz have more than doubled while diesel and petrol are a little lower.
They are all oil based products.

Why is this, officially? It seems to me it is related to the government vehicle installations incentives which ended roughly when LPG was (artificially?) hiked.

    Any chance I'm right?

  • Get Waze has prices up to day usually.

    • Really? I find Waze's prices are not up to date at all.

Of all the community-based petrol pricing apps, I've found GasBuddy to be the most up to date.

  • Merged from Unleaded $113.9 @ Apco, Settlement Rd, Thomastown VIC 3074

Unleaded fuel only $113.9 when fuel in Melbourne is currently $1.39
After 3 hours of driving today passing 20+ Service stations was please to find this hidden gem.

    Unleaded 113.9c
    Premium 95 121.9c
    Premium 98 131.9
    LP Gas 68.9c
    Deiesel 118.9c

I filled up at 9pm tonight. Not sure how long it will last.
Apco Service Station, 228-234 Settlement Rd, Thomastown VIC 3074

    • filled up for the same amount yesterday at United.

      • Location?
All petrol stations from Phillip Island to Wollert were around 139.9c today.

        • +1
        • @jv: Didn't think of that one. My guess was the corner of Bell St and Albert.
