Hey rep, how will this go running a 'GOOD' led?
    Im talking 120W. 35v @ 3.4A

I see the max rated is 3A (thats close enough); am I likely to reach this?

Im running from a 28v 5Ah LiPo battery.

    • The power module might be demaged if it's over the max. rate as 3A.
Please kindly have a check of this module: http://www.icstation.com/product_info.php?products_id=2754.
The output current range is 0A-16A.

      Thanks!

I can smell the outcome from here ;-)

Tend to think you could have worked out for yourself that this circuit would not be suitable, by reading the linked description.

You require a STEP-UP DC-DC Converter, to increase voltage from 28 up to 35 volts.
      This is a STEP-DOWN DC-DC Converter, e.g. from 35V down to 28V.
"●Output voltage adjustable range1.25V~37V adjustable (input voltage must be higher than to the output voltage is more than 1V)."

As for running a circuit at or beyond its maximum output current for a long time… oh boy!
"●Maximum output current can be as high as 3A,normal and stableworking current in 2A."
If you want continuous 3.4A (as in lighting) rather than a rare peak of around 3A, choose something with an output current twice that, so the unit is stable & runs cooler.

Mind you with that drain (120W) on a 120Whr battery, the light won't be on too long given conversion inefficiencies of the converter, power losses, voltage drops, & you can't get 100% out of that poor battery!

Otherwise the LM2596 is a nice chip/ circuit at a good price.

This seems to be correct link to the 15W LED:

The link in the original post seems to link to all LEDs.

    • Yes, thanks for your report.

  • last time I bought some IC from them, there is no manual came with it.
