No it's not an "issue" - it's a bundle, just the way the key works. If you already own the full game on Steam it will still redeem no problems and add the DLC to your account.

Bought another two keys and viewed the keys in Amazon to prevent them from changing to the standalone DLC key.
I'm hoping this is not a Steam issue otherwise the keys might be useless later on if it's fixed

13:48 - Activated and can confirm it includes the base game.
If you have the original game already, when you download it, it will replace the original game, and still show as Age of Empires II HD (it doesnt mention the forgotten) but when you open the game it has the expansion

This Steam game has terrible achievements, there are 259 and most are play x amount of battles. This is a perfect example of why achievements are crap, they are designed to keep people playing but without any sense of real achievement. Same should be done with TV shows. Congratulations you've watched every episode of M.A.S.H. here is a virtual badge to show off.

Bought, thanks. Not big on paying money for really old games, but seeing as how they've upgraded graphics and added a new expansion I'd say its worth the money.
Its not much of an upgrade, and Forgotten DLC is just an old Mod which they incorporated into the new HD version.
Still, worth the $2.5, (but not the $20 i paid at release x.x)
The old mod got expanded upon for the Steam release. The non-Steam release (free) is missing some stuff (like most of the new campaigns).
