Personally I think is a great deal. For HP under $500 is really cheap.

      I just had a look as well. Found it listed on Page 3 of 'The Green Guide' under 'Netbook Specials' in a tiny section on the right of the page!!

      And it just says "HP 2140 $599". No other details, so those specs above are only what the OP looked up elsewhere I think. Anyone who chooses to buy this item should double check that they are getting exactly what they are expecting (spec-wise I mean).

      Other than that, the price seems pretty good for a netbook of this type :)

    The above specs are correct, they have about 20 units at this price.

      I checked with them, both store at West melbourne and Notting Hill has stock. According to them it is limited stock offer. It is stated online for $499 either on page 2 and page 3

    Hmm, I downloaded their pricelist PDF and one page 2, on the right, it clear states HP mininote 2140 for $499.00. Pretty good price!

    I like this netbook but my complaint is like 95% of netbooks, the screen has a crappy resolution, I know its only 10 inches but there are UMPC's(Pocket sized PC's) with better resolution than this. I love my Netbook but 600 lines is just down Right useless IMHO.

      I have to agree 600 pixels is too small. Its not that the screen is too small, its the fact that the screen is too low resolution!
