Received the 20% off code via email but looks pretty generic. You can become a 'Citizen' by signing up for an account.

  • Can confirm it works. Just now to decide whether to pull the trigger.

Looked up a book i've been considering buying, sad thing is even with 30% off, book depository was still cheaper!
Makes it hard to support Aussie business, may just stick with the local library for now. :(

Hopefully some titles are a better offer :)

    • It really depends on the book. The two books I'm considering are now the cheapest option worldwide using Booko to compare, not by much though.

That's pretty annoying. Made purchase a couple of days ago for click frenzy 15% discount. Now they come out with a bigger discount.

  • Once again fooled by the extra 10% ontop that everyone gets if they make a free account.

  • Grr I just bought a board game today only to come home and see i could get it $30 cheaper from bookworld.

Spent a good few minutes trying to figure out how to browse by Board Games, but no such luck. Any pointers? The site does have them if I search for a particular title, but doesn't seem to actually contain any category…

    • Which game, may I ask?

To the question below, I wonder if searching by Publishing would work?

  • Is anybody else having problems completing the shipping address form? I cannot fill out the suburb field (even after entering the postcode or different postcodes to test) and I have tried different web browsers.

    • My shipping address worked but it won't process the order. Maybe the site is having issues. I contacted them but no response as yet

  • Thanks for posting JellyQueen!

I just order a volume of 'The Drops of God' as it was the cheapest available worldwide. It's unfortunate that this book about wine has become discontinued due to its poor sales. :(

  • Just bought the recipe book "Plenty" by Yotam Ottolenghi for $30 inc postage. $4 cheaper than Book Depository.

  • Perfect for back to uni. I was hoping there would be another one like there was at the start of the year. I saved a lot on textbooks, even including checking booko and eBay.

Edit: Now I'm getting an error message and I can't checkout.

Final edit: Checked out with a credit card instead of PayPal and it seemed to work.

Thanks to Zirkaloy over @Whirlpool who pointed out you can use the code for Wii U Pro controllers but it's a 2-3 week wait. There is a chance they could cancel the orders but worth a punt at $34.97 per controller shipped.

    • Thanks for relaying that. Just ordered one for myself, along with some books.

    Paper books.. I remember those.

  • Thanks, 30% is very good. Better than book depository and other items that they don't stock.

  • Not bad. Amazon price match policy seems to be a bit dodgy. Price was about 30c cheaper than amazon quoted (before discount).

  • is the citizen discount a one-use discount?

    • Nope. Lifetime.

  • Agree about the price match ts'n'cs - you've got to jump through more hoops than Free Willy! That said, I eventually found 3 books on my 80+ booko wishlist which came up cheapest as a result of this sale. So thanks OP!

For anyone else on the face of the earth who has not yet bought or read the Harry Potter series, I picked up the complete 7 book pack for $56.69, which was nearly $10 cheaper than Amazon and $25 cheaper than the next best supplier. http://www.bookworld.com.au/book/harry-potter-paperback-boxe…
