  • I bought 6 pairs!

    • I only bought 2 pairs from the main Dick Smith site yesterday.

      • I'm gonna gift them and stocking filler up them. Might keep a pair or two for myself also. The flat $4.95 postage enticed me to buy extra ;)

Wonder if Dick Smith can find any more units some where in a warehouse or was this the very last of the stock.

  • Damn, I hesitated because I didn't really need them but then changed my mind and they're all gone :'(. Oh well, I guess I'm $15 richer.

Wonder who it was who bought 20 units. I'm thinking there's going to be a flood of Pioneer SE-MJ711 headphones on ebay soon. Damn those professionals.

  • Dick needs to stock up their Mac computers and offer 20% off the RRP, and let's ozbargain them out in 2 hours again!

  • The deal was ozbargained fast :(
I started my purchase when there were 10+ left, after signing in paypal and clicked Place order, all gone in less than 30 secs.

    Anyone elses order incomplete??
I paid for 3 and only got 2!
    Email sent.

    • I bought one of theses and 2 of the Sennheiser in ear ones and they reckon they only shipped the Pioneers so far. havent had a reply from them as of yet.

    • Just opened my box and realised I've also got 2 when I ordered 3. I checked my emails and saw I received two "Your invoice is attached" emails from Dick Smith on different days. The first email (June 25) had an invoice stating 3 had been ordered but only 2 shipped. The second email (June 26) stated the unsent quantity had been sent.

Maybe the same has happened to you?

    • I paid for 2 and only got none. Order cancelled.

I doubt you'll get that missing headphone since apparently there's no stock.

  • Today, days after successful order and payment online:

Thank you for your order of the Pioneer SE-MJ11 Headphones (C5591). Unfortunately due to stock constraints we will be required to refund your order.

EDIT: Oh, and they "anticipate that your refund will be completed by Wednesday 1 July 2014." I hope to get the money back even on Tuesday, June 31st.

    • Got the same cancellation email and i ordered through the main Dick Smith web site on 24th June the day before this thread. There was obviously no stock when they listed for sale on ebay.

  • Not impressed. Order cancelled.
How hard is it to keep count of stock?

  • I just got the "due to stock constraints….." cancellation email :(

  • +3

I just got one as well, pricks.
I was one of the first to order and a day later they were still selling them on ebay yet mysteriously they ran out?

    • +1

I have a feeling that has something to do with it. Having to cancel an eBay transaction gets them in more trouble than one through their website, and one can assume their eBay and Website stock counting mechanisms do not talk to eachother.

  • I've received these today, it sounds terrible. No wonder it's so cheap

    • Lucky for you at least you actually received some thing.

      • +1

Possibly unlucky from what I read here.

    • im happy i missed out then!

  • I got the following email today from DSE.

How does the Blue Philips CitiScape Shibuya Headphones SHL5205BL compare to the Pioneer?

    EMAIL

    Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for your order of the White Pioneer Street Move Dynamic Headphones SEMJ511W
(A 5094). Unfortunately due to stock constraints we are unable to supply your order.

We will however be able to replace your order with the Blue Philips CitiScape Shibuya Headphones SHL5205BL (C 3501).

All replacement orders will be despatched on Friday 11th July 2014.

If you prefer a refund on your order, please feel free to contact our call center via email by close of business Thursday 10th July 2014 - [email protected].

Should you require further details, please refer to clause 4 of our Terms and Conditions; agreed to at the time your order was placed.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience and undue concern that this has caused.

    Kind Regards,
    The Dick Smith Team

    • So how come they couldn't offer these to the people who ordered the SEMJ711 but couldn't supply due to "stock constraints".

And strange if there's no stock of the SEMJ511W any where then how come they're still selling it on their web site.

      http://www.dicksmith.com.au/earphones-headphones/pioneer-str…

And i thought they would have firstly substituted it for the SEMJ511K which is in stock both online and in store and is the next best match before any thing else since it's simply the black version of the SEMJ511W white version. Rather than substituting with a completely different brand and headphone type. I mean the Philips CitiScape model SHL5205BL headphone is an on ear headphone but you ordered an over the ear headphone. It's completely inappropriate for some one who specifically ordered over the ear. Sure they'd rather offer a completely inappropriate wrong branded and wrong type headphone over the Pioneer black version (SEMJ511K) of the headphone you ordered which they do have.

      http://www.dicksmith.com.au/earphones-headphones/pioneer-str…

Typical Dick Smith not making any sense. What kind of idiots are running the Dick Smith online circus. They've got no clue.

      That's my take on it.

      • ok now the SEMJ511W is gone from the Dick Smith site. But still the SEMJ511K is still available.

  • I got the same email and after some research the replacements (SHL5205WT) look like a better build quality and look like they would be more comfortable. They seem to be reviewed pretty well for the few reviews that I could find.

I'm not cancelling the order for 4 that I placed. Admittedly I am no audiophile so these could be absolute crap but they don't seem worse which is a bonus I guess.

    • Did you also notice that the Philips CitiScape SHL5205WT is an on the ear headphone which is not an over the ear which you ordered?. That's if you ordered the Pioneer Street Mover SEMJ511W.

      • Yeah I noticed but personally it's not a problem for me.

        • It may be a problem for people who specifically wanted an over the ear headphone.

        • @hollykryten:

And those people can request a refund as the email states.

  • What if I let it turn up and then do a dispute because the product is significantly not like what I ordered?
Refund and keep product? Or send out something closer to what I ordered and pick up your tacky blue crap.

    • The email says you can request a refund before 10th July 2014 instead of getting the replacement headphone.

      • Yeah, but i'd rather be a PITA and see how they enjoy it.

  • After being offered a refund, then a replacement with Philips CitiScape ones, then nothing, I decided to chase them. Got my refund after 20 days.

    • That Philips CitiScape replacement deal offer may have fell through.

  • Arrived for me today. I missed the email about changing to blue so that was a shock. Haven't tried them yet.
