      • Cheap, but problems reported out from China include Windows Updates along with Windows 8, taking up close to 32 GB of disk space.

Understanding Windows, you shouldn't ignore the updates, especially the critical ones. Over time, this may also impact the 64 GB models. Think of it as planned obsolescence.

Code is working but I'm getting an error

"Unfortunately, we're unable to process your payment using your PayPal account at this time. Please return to the merchant's website and try using a different payment method (if available)."

Anyone else have the same problem?

    • Yes.

    • says paypal email and ebay email must be the same

      • Both my ebay and paypal are the same email

        • Mine aren't the same (Ebay Hotmail and Paypal Gmail)and it still works.

    • +1

Yes. I had the same problem. My eBay and Paypal email addresses are the same.
I logged into Paypal directly in another browser tab and tried the transaction again a few minutes later and it went through.
I'd say it is some gremlin in the system. Because prior to the transaction, Paypal had indicated that they didn't recognise my computer [which is the same computer I use for every other transaction] and asked me to verify my account by SMS text.

      • Same happened to me. Just try again a few times and it works.

        • I've tried 10 times on my ipad, mac and PC but it still won't work.
This is bloody annoying as if it doesn't work I'm stuck with a full price iPhone 5s

You neg this deal before it starts and now you're trying to contribute something positive?

      Something smells fishy here…

A bit strange since you obviously had no issues receiving the highest amount of +'s from last weeks similar eBay deal!

      • -3

The only thing fishy here is the price and stock manipulations…

The deal last week was sitewide, you can't compare the two…

        Saved $2 on headphones I don't need. Bfd…

        • +1

Last week was an eBay deal with a 15% off discount, with a one use and $100 discount limit.

This week is an eBay deal with a 20% off discount, with 5 uses and $200 discount per use limit.

          Get off your high horse!

Last week = max $100 saving unless you abused the system by changing or creating multiple accounts.

This week = max $1000 saving without abusing the system.

There's still a good wide selection of products from the 13 odd retailers involved.

I'm personally watching 2 TV's that dropped $200 each since yesterday and are equal to 2 other stores prices outside this event (JB & HN) - it seems they all started discounting a few models the last day or 2.

        • I don't think this time is "… with 5 uses and $200 discount per use limit."
It's max $200 discount in total. You can purchase 5 little things to make up $1000 or above in order to get the max $200 discount.

Which 2 TVs are you looking at? I'm after 55" TVs.

        • -1

It's called having an opinion different to yours. You can justify it however you want as long as it is within reason and conventional logic.

        • Actually, it is.. 5x200

The total discount amount payable is capped to a maximum discount of $200 per transaction.
The redemption code is valid for up to 5 transactions per person during the Offer Period.
          that is, up to $1,000

  • Purchased ipad mini with retina display 16GB wifi Gray, just $352.8…^_^
    Almost RRP 73% discount!
Just wondering whether the warranty is by kogan or apple store…

    • Apple have world wide warranty, I bought mine in the UK claimed vat back when I left and recently had it replaced under warranty here in Tassie :)

You got the link for others?

      • -2

        The link is:http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Apple-iPad-Mini-with-Retina-Display-16GB-Wi-Fi-Space-Grey-Kogan-/351104924268?pt=AU_Tablets&hash=item51bf7bfa6c&_uhb=1

Price in kogan is 441, but in apple store RRP is 479, so the discount is 73.6% compare with apple store RRP~!

        • +6

          Discount is 100-73% = 27%.

        • Ok, the discount is 27%…

      • Apple have world wide warranty, I bought mine in the UK claimed vat back when I left and recently had it replaced under warranty here in Tassie :)

To clarify the Apple Warranty situation.

Apple offer global warranty support on all products other than iPhones and iPads that have cellular capability. Note that the global warranty support you will receive from Apple in Australia will be for 12 months, and not for the 24 months or more of support you would receive under Australia's Consumer Guarantee protection. Also, you will not be eligible for Apples out-of-warranty replacement program.

I did not buy the iPad Mini at $200 (or $195 with CashBack) after 20% Off via this deal. However, I did buy an iPhone 5s and I am taking the risk of no local warranty and no out-of-warranty support from Apple Australia.

    • +6
