Wait, so how to confirm that cash back applies on the purchase? Or only when they confirm, never used CashRewards :/

have the same question, I don't know how it works and how to know it's cashback :|

  • +1

I always thought cash rewards had 2% cashback on eBay. Anyway is this better than velocity? any cashrewards users here?

    • Yep I've used CashRewards twice. Really cool service.

      • Hi! Have you successfully received cashback for your CashRewards purchases?
I can't seem to find many reviews online…

    • velocity = 1% when at 2 points per dollar, or thereabouts. i would always prefer 2% cash than 2% points and even 3% points for that matter

Helpful tips for ensuring cashback works for you

    • Click on the Go To Store buttons and the store website will open in a new window.
    • Make sure you complete your purchase without opening any other websites.
    • If you use a coupon code that is not listed on this site, rewards may not be payable.
    • Rewards are payable on eligible purchases not including freight, delivery and GST.
    • Cashback may not be payable if you pay by gift card or if you purchase a gift card.
    • Cashback will not be earned if the goods or services are cancelled or returned.
    • Cashback may take up to 7 days to appear in your rewards account.

Probably not suitable for tomorrow, but I wish I had known this when I purchased that Dell monitor a few days ago!

As its a publicly available coupon and its also advertised on the eBay home page, my experience is it will work for Cash Rewards. Nothing to lose anyway, click through from Cash Rewards and hopefully you will pick up 2% back.

      • so if i use this tomorrow, i risk not getting the 15% off?

        • +1

No you will still get the 15% off with the coupon by clicking through from Cash Rewards.

Its just that there is chance that the 2% cashback that is usually payable on eBay purchases through Cash Rewards may not be payable in conjunction with the coupon.

There is a good chance however that 2% will be payable, as its a publicly available coupon, however we can not guarantee your Cash Rewards if you use this coupon.

Sorry we can't be clearer on this however as soon as we get some clarification on this we will let Oz Bargainers know.

Meantime click through from Cash Rewards and hopefully you will get 2% back on top of the 15% off.

So how do I use this and the 15% tomorrow to buy this : http://m.ebay.com.au/itm/141307897922?nav=SEARCH

  • Just out of curiosity, what's stopping a person from listing a $1000 pen and getting their friend to buy it and earn an extra 2%?

Anyway, for tomorrow, do we just click on 'go to store', and go straight to cart and purchase?

wouldn't you be making a loss after ebay and paypal fees?

      • Ah ok, yeah what was I thinking..

        • +3

If only ebay and paypal fees added up to less than 2%!

        • +1

          yes

  • +5

Yes well I remember the days when ebay fee s were 3% under $500 and no paypal cost when the buyer did a bank transfer. How thinfs have changed. Now you lose about 12% on a sale.

  • I gave it a shot. The way I see it I have nothing to lose. Thanks OP :)

  • I presume that there is no way to use a sniping tool with this. For snipers it would only be for non-auction listings.

  • Nice, made back $5.69

  • Got email confirmation of another 2% with this on the eBay special from Sunday.

It is not 2% rebate, not even 1%.Anyone knows why?

    Sale Value: AUD 431.80
    Expected Cashback: AUD 3.78

    Sale Value: AUD 219.90
    Expected Cashback: AUD 1.94

    • Yeah, I noticed that. I'm still glad to be getting some cash back, but it's definitely not 2% as advertised.

      • How does cashrewards work? I didn't get any receipt saying received 2% back even though I started shooping via cashback website?

        • @g12345567 - It takes 4 days or so for the email to come through confirming the cash back. If you purchased something on the weekend it should come through today or tomorrow, if not contact them and they will investigate.

        • +1

Thanks. Got my 2% cashback notification today for the Ebay purchases I made last weekend.

@g12345567: got the cashback on account but it has been pending for 3weeks now??

      • +2

@Neoika & GreenGuava: Contact them and they should fix it up, I got mine fixed up 2 hours after I emailed.

        https://www.cashrewards.com.au/contact

They told me: "eBay has reported some transactions at lower rates"

The full 2% now shows for those.

Thanks for the tip hamza, will do :)

  • Awesome! Got a cashback notice- so 17% off my latest purchase of $1250 :)
Don't forget to log in and update your bank details.

  • i have some cash reward balance for the recent ebay 20% off weekend.. however it's not available balance because the store (DSE) hasn't confirmed the rewards.. how do I get DSE to confirm the rewards?

    • +2

Don't worry that is normal. It can take a month or even longer with ebay (site says 40 days now) for the cash back to clear.
