TLDR;
It can push an average of 39fps in Battlefield 4 at 4K, so will do fine at 1080p or 1440p resolutions.

This card also includes the Gold Never Settle Forever bundle code with 3 free games. Sniper Elite 3 just added to choices!

    Would this graphics card be better for gaming?
    Sorry if this is a really simple answer, im a noob at building a pc

      Better performance in some games but this card can also beat it in others so not worth paying extra money on that card. Nvidia does have better driver updates than Ati, personally I have the 290 and it a great card!!!

      • Thanks everyone, my last graphics card broke and I'm basically going to build myself a whole new computer, I think I will go with the 290 now and I will definitely check out r/buildapc, I have been subbed to r/pcmasterrace but I didn't know r/buildapc was a thing, thanks everyone! You are all awesome :D

        • What card are you replacing? What games do you play? What monitor(s) do you have? What is your power supply wattage?

      You will get a lot better value for money from a 290 than a 780gtx. It just depends on your brand preference i guess. Personally i think the 290 (with aftermarket cooler) is the best high end, value for money card on the market atm, as long as youre paying under $500.

    • I personally have the EVGA GTX 780 and it's a beast of a card, but the one in the deal is just as good if not better, especially if you're on a budget.

      I recommend checking out http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/ for ideas on your first self built PC.

        I think the 780 is a bit too expensive for me but I might look towards it in the future, now I just have to wait until after pax to save up for everything else :)

      No, not really. They're both very capable cards but the Sapphire 290 above benches at around the same mark as GTX780's whilst also having an extra GB of VRAM and $200 on the MSI card you suggested. On the other hand, the MSI card runs a bit cooler and is quieter overall. So performance-wise (and brand preferences aside) the Sapphire is much better value for money. Not sure how Sapphire's warranty terms treat international purchasers though, so that might be something to look into.

  • I'd go for this: http://www.shoppingexpress.com.au/view/the-epic-hour/EpicHou… (assuming they have sufficient stock).

  • Great deal, excellent price.
    Could someone pls help shed some light on Amazon warranty/returns for items like Vid Cards?
    Seen mixed comments about issues with warranty not being valid in Aust, and paying US postage costs back etc

    Price is up to $434.99. Expired?

  • dammit just when I finally decided to replace my old card this is expired.
