VPN.sh - Dedicated IP VPN in Seattle, New York or Dallas from Just £10/Year

03

Hey OzBargain!

So we had some dedicated IP's up for grabs in Dallas a little while back - and had some teething problems that have now all been resolved, and we're getting all of the accounts there activated.

We're also now offering dedicated IP's in New York and Seattle too! To get hold of one of these, simply checkout the offer link that we've got going at the moment over at: http://offer.vpn.sh

In Seattle and New York you'll get 750GB/month bandwidth for just £10 per year. In Dallas you'll get 1TB/month banwidth for just £12 per year.

Promo codes are as follows:

Seattle: YNYSEATTLE
New York: YNYSEATTLE
Dallas: YDALLAS

These can be used to access US-only content such as Hulu and Netflix, and also to keep your online browsing secure on public WiFI hotspots, or even in your own home if you're not so keen on letting your ISP peer over your shoulder all day long!

Thanks, and as usual I'll be around to answer any questions you may have :)

why charging British pounds for servers hosted in US?

    • +4

Because they're a UK company and they want to charge in their own currency?

If you are advertising to an Australian audience you should charge in AUD. Only reason you wouldn't is because £10 looks cheaper than $18.

        • So we should exclude any deal from an overseas company?
Exchange rates vary all the time.. How do they have a fixed price in their currency and ours?

I paid for 2 accounts - VPN 500gb/yr and another VPN Dallas. Haven't received anything to date. Logged 2 support tickets on 12th June - still to date no response and no account activation. I hardly call that "all been resolved".

Logged support ticket and no response. Bad service. Avoid.

I suggest Avoid this service. I enrolled for the Dallas based VPN a month ago and yet to receive anything. Only thing that happened is my money is gone. No response to tickets raised, and worse, asked not to raise tickets "because they are solving issues"!

Long time lurker, first time poster. Purchased the Dallas VPN deal on June 12th for 12 GBP. Still have not yet received VPN activation details. Very quick to process payment but poor service and communication. Avoid this company.

I can't really comment on whether this is a good price for a VPN, but if you only want to access Netflix/Hulu, you may be better off with a DNS service such as Getflix which will be far cheaper and allows a web service to think you are located in the US while lacking some of the other benefits a VPN may provide.

It's probably best if you had first responded to the support tickets before lodging another offer. I'm still waiting for a response to my support ticket that was lodged over a fortnight ago.

    • I can second that. I lodged a support ticket 12 days ago - haven't heard a peep since.
Figured they had gone out of business - charging 2 quid for year's worth of VPN doesn't really seem sustainable, but now they're back looking for more customers…

    • Good luck waiting for the response.
I had two open tickets with no response for more than a month before I decided to lodge a dispute through paypal and get my money back.

      • Good idea. Maybe I should lodge paypal dispute too.

  • I've got the usual vpn service with these guys & it's been fine.
But then again I paid ~$4/yr. The speeds are quicker then ibvpn (I was using the Iceland or Nederland ones to stream NRL from livestream.com I would imagine you own VPN would be fairly quick.

If you're tickets are being looked at try emailing [email protected]

Just a word of caution to avoid this service and save yourself the drama. Ordered their Dallas service before. 24 hour special for ozbargainers he said. Took my money instantly. No reply whatsoever to support ticket lodged two weeks after. Still no service as off today but I still receive an email saying that they're offering it to other people when they can't even fix the services of the ones who paid prior.

P.S. If you're thinking of getting this for Netflix. I strongly advise getting Getflix. Cheaper service and the speed won't be degraded because it doesn't pass a VPN like what is being offered here.
