For people looking to buy this, purchase it through their ebay listing and use cashrewards for 2% back or velocity points.

  • 5 remote devices in the house is sooo yesterday.

  • these remotes are amazing and so much better since myharmony software replaced the old crappy software. if i didn't already have a 700 and 650 at home I'd get another!

  • My 2yo decided to do the good ol' "let's drop the Harmony One on the hard floor and see what happens". Needless to say, the screen is cracked. Guess I'll just have to downgrade to one of these 650s…

    • I dropped my Harmony One. After much searching for another at the $90 I paid I gave up and got the 650. I actually far prefer it to the One. It's nice having physical coloured buttons again and not having to constantly have it on charge.
If I could buy a One at the same price as a 650 I would still get the 650. The weighting is better too. I don't need more than 8 devices, if you did then sure a One is the go.

  • Sold. After spilling some too good to be spilt scotch on my remote the OK button needs increasingly hard presses to get it to work.

Shame this one doesn't use the same AAA batteries as I bought some good rechargeable ones.

If you can get the remote apart without destroying it, some decent cleaner (isopropyl alcohol is good since it doesn't leave a residue) should fix it up. They are sometimes quite difficult to get apart with plastic tabs down the sides. Remotes are usually a single PCB with just a few components and a large number of carbon PCB footprints for each button. It's likely the scotch has just left some sticky residue on these footprints or the rubber button part. That won't cover every remote, but will cover a very large majority of them.

  • Got this price matched at TGG last Friday.
